I've got my main sorcerer at 47 (non hardcore) and then a 35 Necromancer, 30 Barbarian, and 30 Sorcerer all on Hardcore mode. If you're moderately decent at gaming in general you can bump the world tier up to level 2 and still be fine but gain far more XP for leveling.

I bought my first new car when it literally cost 2x my gross salary. Still was able to make it work, though I didn't really have anything left over for saving and investing, which I regret now.

I bought my M4 and it cost < 50% of my gross now. I'd imagine for others here it ranges from 20% - 60$ so I'm probably smack dab in the middle of the range.

Do the math (and this is relative to where people live and their 'lifestyle,' I suppose):

Salary (or other source of income) - 401K plan (if participating) - health insurance (unless free) - Mortgage (unless you rent, then, rent) - Electric - Water - Cable/Internet, Food/Groceries - Entertainment - Cash Savings (if at all possible (might yield 3-5% Interest)) - Investments (IRA/Roth IRA, Etc.) - Yard Maintenance (if any) - Car Insurance - Gas - Car Payment(s) (if M3 will be the sole car, then remove from equation till later) - everything else (gym/club memberships, tv subscriptions, cigars, etc.). What you're left with is $X.00 per month (usually 2 pay cycles 15th/30th or Biweekly (2 months in a year with 3 checks)).

If 'X' is equal to (or greater than) the M3 payment (depending on M3 MSRP + how much you can put down + taxes + dealer fees - trade (if any (if none, taxes will be higher)), you can afford it. If X is not, then don't cut corners to afford it. Just word to the wise, as it is a depreciating liability.

I like the 10% rule as it includes more scenarios. Basically you should only spend 10% of your monthly gross on transportation including maintenance, fuel, insurance, etc.

It's a bit nerfed compared to the beta apparently but still works pretty well.

5 pts in Arc Lash + Glinting + Enhanced

Skip down to Ice shield and put 5 into that + enhanced + mystical

2-3 into flame shield + enhanced + shimmering (MUST have if you're on hardcore mode)

3/3 elemental attunement + glass cannon (9 and 3 oclock on the defensive)

1/5 teleport + enhanced + shimmering

next tier, grab 5/5 ice blades + enhanced + summoned

then on the same tier grab 1/3 Align the elements + 3/3 Protection

on to Mastery, grab 3/3 Icy Veil, Static Discharge, and Shocking Impact

Everything else, grab whatever you want, but the main skills to rotate are:

Left Mouse: Arc Lash
Right Mouse: Ice Blades
1: Flame Shield
2: Ice Armor
3: Inferno
4: Teleport

Passive 1: Ice Blades
Passive 2: Flame Shield

This should basically let you face tank most minor bosses, run around anything else, and just keep burning cooldowns / stuns / crits that reset your shields / constant shield barrier till everything around you is dead.

It's not the fastest, but it's very survivable.

edit: the way it works is by constantly spawning ice blades after you've stacked 40s worth of cooldowns....which means you can get 4-5 ice blades going at once when your crits proc. And since enemies can't defend against them...and the blades make enemies vulnerable...which leads to more crits....which leads to resetting your shields / armor / teleport...which leads to more cooldowns...which leads to more blades....you get the idea.

Absolutely need to have ice blades on passive though. Flame shield is optional for the 2nd passive especially if you're not playing on hardcore mode. On HC it's saved my bacon a few times though so I highly recommend it. Sometimes you need a couple extra seconds till the next cooldown is available.

I'm incredibly lost (paragon stuff, crafting, rolls ect) in the game and currently at level 51 with my Rouge. Just started Act 4 (I believe), which ever act you get the mount for the horse. I wish I had more time to play, unfortunately, I don't.

Well. Let’s see. M4 costs around 200 grand in my country. Plus, Have to pay 5 grand a year for the insurance and another 5 grand for the car’s tax yearly. Don’t forget the poor gas milage, too. So, you have to be at least a manager/restaurant owner/have rich parents/inheritance…something like that
