adding a bass control knob to central control unit
Didn't see anyone else do this so thought i'd share. The plastic part is easily removable and also can be bought for like $20 as a replacement part if later deciding to sell the car and remove the knob. there is a very good cable routing easily from the middle part to the trunk using the side of the center trim and then over the trim overlying the footwell.

Hey doctoe1101, do you happen to know the OEM part number for the piece that we modified? I saw where you mentioned that it was a $20 part. My Dremel slipped and scuffed mine up right by the knob, and I am wanting to have another go at it as the scuff is going to bug me.

Following up on part number
Thanks for this! I'm about to install my knob now, based on your recommendations. I'd also like to know the part number in case I have to back it out when my lease ends--any ideas?
Thanks! --Golden |
