Hi all - great to see all the fruitful enthusiastic discussion!

I recently installed the same amp in my F87 and G05. Made a world of difference. In my F87 I took the next step of upgrading the fronts with Eton.

Has anyone done any running with these cars that they can share? I basically just adjusted the various gain levels by ear but assume there's still some untapped potential!

I thought the Match UP BMW amps used were PnP, powered through the factory harness eliminating the need to run separate power or ground wires?
Or, did you purchase a Match UP amp that was NOT a Match up BMW?

How would I find out what radio system I have? My car is a 2021 M340i. I do not have the tweeters in the doors.

Prices seem to have gone up significantly.

Do you happen to still have your tune for the Hifi without the add on sub? Just got my 8DSP and the sound isn't quite right in my G20 LCI.

I was pleasantly surprised in the under seat subs and honestly, could have probably been satisfied, but once you have had a big sub in your car there's no going back.

It really doesn't add a ton on top of the under seat subs but it does add that lowest note, impact and the happiness that big sound wave adds to the overall experience.
Planning to install a similar 10" low profile sub from Kicker ( 51PTRTP10 ) into the space where a spare would go in my X7. Planning to use under-seat woofers for 80hz and up and let the sub play the lows. My question is how high can the under-seat woofers play? Can they fill 500hz frequencies? Higher? Lower? Also looking to swap the Base HIFI speakers out but cannot decide whether to go with Alpha one replacements or if just used HK (Premium Hifi) speakers would be enough of a difference. HK in my 650i GC got real loud with factory amp. Kept up with a 15" sub pushing 800w rms

I just got myself the Match Up 8DSP for my BMW G20 330e year 2023. Overall, it sounds better than the HiFi stock but still tinkering. My speakers are B&W and the 2 subs is stock.

crpediem_2 could you please share to me the audio file without add-on subs?

Where did you plug all this in, is it at the right side of the boot space? All the videos show in under the boot floor which is where the 330e battery is.

If you’re facing the trunk, I installed it on the left side behind the storage tray. When you remove the trunk lining and the tray, there’s an open spot that you can screw the amp into. It’s right next to the Bmw amplifier.

I’m playing my under seat subs to 150hz. I don’t have a mic so I don’t know if they will play up to 500hz. Now I’m curious though, I’ll play with the software to see how the sound changes if I raise the cutoff.

I just added my amp and sub. Used the line out from dsp. Want to make sure I have settings correct. In my IO tab under Main to virtual routing, I have "pass through 1" as Virtual I listed. Cannot change this. In the virtual to output tab, I can change "pass through 1" to "Line out 1". Lastly my Outputs section has Line out 1 (SubRC) listed. Curious if I have this correct.

Also, since dsp is handling crossover, do I need to set it up on amp or just gain?

I do not use the virtual sound processing as I like the way the non virtual sounds. Here's a pic of my output settings and Line out. If you set up the crossover in the software you do not need to set it on the amp.

For the gain on the amp I would set it somewhere between 1/2- 3/4. This will give you more flexibility when adjusting gain in the software.

I see you have polarity reversed on the line out. Is that recommended?

Overall pleased and the subwoofer and Focal speakers have not even broken in yet.

On another note, my AC is no longer blowing cold air. Could a fuse have blown when reconnecting battery terminals?

Not sure about the air…but i reversed polarity because it produces deeper bass for my application I’d suggest you try, may make a difference . Since the sub wave is Omni directional it does not effect timing.

I felt something was off with the sound and the bass was all weird. I applied my tune prior to installing external sub and disabled main and virtual routing to the output. Sounds great like before. When I map the subwoofer inputs In Main to Virtual routing to "Passthrough 1" which creates "Virtual I" , the underseat woofers lose bass and it does not sound good. If I do nothing in the Main to virtual routing but in Virtual to Output routing assign the 2 subs (50% each) my underseat subs still play the same but now my external sub fills in the rest.

Anyone think this can cause any problems?

I updated the DSP Tool to newer version. I now have Input 1 instead of Passthrough and everything is working as planned. I just have to mute all but my fronts to make adjustments to the eq. The Focal speakers I installed seem to have less mid-range than the factory if that makes sense. Gonna isolate fronts and really dial them in. Thinking of using the under-seat subs to handle 80hz to 200hz, let the L7 in the trunk deal with 25hz to 80hz, and have the front door speakers pick up 200hz and up.

Open to suggestions. I know sound is a preference.

Hi crpediem_2, I have sent you a PM i think I have messed the file you sent me and would be so grateful if you get a spare moment to resend the file that incorporates the rear boot sub. I thought I found it on my work PC but when loading it to the car it sounds shocking, no bass and nothing like it sounded before so I am hoping the file I had backed up was overwritten as at this point my car that sounded great now sounds shocking so really keen to sort it out asap. I am hoping the new software it made me download and firmware updates hasnt messed anything up.

Turns out when I stuffed my hand back in the rear compartment where I mounted the amp to connect the line out, i popped out the connector that goes to the 3rd row climate control. That is fixed now but I am having a hell of a time blending the Subwoofer with the under-seat woofers.

I am encountering a phenomenon where at lower volumes the bass sounds deeper and as I increase the volume, it really starts to drop off until I start hitting 80% volume and then it starts hitting again. Would you be able to provide your settings for the underseat woofers and your trunk sub?
