So I have a 2021 m340i xdrive and had a roof wrap for almost 2 & 1/2 years now. About 3 months ago with the heavy NYC rain, I've been getting the emergency system malfunction error, and of course it is voided because of the roof wrap. BMW charges upwards about 3000, so I decided to do it myself. Nav works fine, and a lot of other models say all you need to do is replace the battery.

IT IS EASIER THAN EXPECTED

there are 3 NOTCHES IN THE REAR HEADLINER, and 4 WHITE PULL TABS and you will EASILY be able to access the module

the TCB battery compartment is a white little box, if you have a pick tool, just go under and pull out the tab.

I don't have a video on the headliner removal, I think Malaya F30 has one, the process is very similar.

THE BATTERY IS NOT THE ONE EVERYONE IS SELLING ON AMAZON - THIS IS THE MAIN TAKEAWAY - everyone sells an 8 V battery but it is completely different - I tried to post a pic, but the battery in the g20 is a 6V 190mAh battery which is way smaller. I've tried searching everywhere and nobody has really mentioned the battery of the g20 TCB so hopefully this will catch at least a few people
