G21 key fob tailgate opening

Is there a way to disable the key fob button that opens the tailgate?
On several occasions I have accidentally opened it without realising until someone knocks on the door and says “did you know your boots open”🙄

Unfortunately I only get the first 2 options 🙄
Mine is a late 2019 model.

Have you got a physical boot button on the driver’s door? I would guess that the option to disable the fob is only applicable to cars that have that button.

My 2021 G21 doesn't even give the first two options - I simply get "driver's door" or "all doors". Doesn't even mention the tailgate.

Yeah. Does say some options may not be available. Guess as usual UK market gets shafted. I've not checked mine but I don't recall seeing it.

That should be available through bimmercode or bimmer utility

You can change the delay up to 10s in Bimmercode. I had a quick look through the expert settings too, a number contain BOOTLID but I didn't see anything that was immediately obvious in there.

Had a play with mine and found that if you assign it to Lock Tailgate Button it just goes dead so would give the result you want.

Unfortunately the only 2 options I get are tailgate or tailgate and doors.
I wonder whether the additional options are available with later software updates that keep failing to install on my car - but that’s another story 🤬

Well that's a bummer. Just for reference I'm on 11/2023.50 but, not surprisingly, I've no idea when those additional options appeared.
