Has anyone got quarter mile times with flex fuel?
I'm looking into getting a 330i, and have been trying(with little luck) to find results of a flex fuel tune only setup. Does anyone have any data? I'm mostly curious about the results of a JB4 on map 5 or using a flex fuel sensor.
Thank you! |

I don't think we can run E85 on our cars. Running a blend is definitely possible. I run around E22-25 in my 330i with a jb4 on map 6.

And also, what kind of times have you seen running that blend? My current daily runs high 12s at about 106-107 so I'm trying to get as close to that as possible. |

And my fastest time is 12.95s @106.25mph. I've had three 12.95s runs, one 12.97 and one 12.99. multiple 13.0s runs. Highest trap speed ever was 107.50mph. Best 0-60 was 4.69s.

there are a couple things to think about for running ethanol
there's the tune (if you have an aggressive tune, do u want to run a sensor that makes the tune less aggressive if you forget to mix in ethanol or mix in too little ?) there's the hardware (pumps/lines), lines should be able to handle E85 in modern cars but the pump may or may not suffer more wear/deterioration (this is dependent on make/model of the car obviously) |
