I might sound ridiculous, but with adaptive suspension I consider the grip and comfort on quite high level, the ride is not bumpy at all.
What did you think about these continental winter contacts? My dealership just quoted these and there are not a lot of options at the moment for this size.

Just picked a set of BMW OEM wheels from the dealership with Pirelli Sottozero 3 RFT mounted and balanced. They look incredible!

Where do you live, and when did you get them installed? I'm in Pennsylvania, and I'm tossing mine on Monday because my summers were just worn out.

I'm afraid I'm a month too early for my winters, and I'm going to burn them off too quickly. I usually wait until November to put mine on.

Very southern NH, so I'm probably going to have them put on as soon as there's snow in the forecast. Most likely mid to late November would be my guess. I try to wait as long as possible so as to not wear down the tread as fast.

Anyone running non-oem 18 inch wheels on the ZTK package with larger brakes? I've been told that these will fit (squared with 235/45/18 all around) but just want to be as certain as I can be before finalizing my order so I can avoid needing to swap, both for my sake and the sake of the company I'm ordering from as they've been extremely helpful.

Alright I went ahead and ordered!

- 18 inch Replika r231 (bmw replica wheels in black)
- 4x Continental Viking Contact 7 235/45R18XL (not run flat)
- 4 tpms
- tires mounted and balanced

Since Replika guarantees the fit, if really caliper clearance is not sufficient I can still get them swapped out for 19s or refunded.

Total price for everything was $2406 Canadian (+tx) which is $1110 less than the $3516 best price my dealer wanted to give me for the 796m winter kit with the Pirelli sottozero 3.

From what I've seen, the Viking Contact 7 are extremely well rated winter tires and slightly ahead of the Sottozero 3 in reviews.

Will report back on whether they end up working with the ZTK caliper size!

Also gotta give major props to Robert @ WheelWiz.ca as he gave amazing customer service, answered all my questions quickly and sent me a link with the fully configured package.

Oh nice ! Are the TPMS plug and play in the G20s ? Im in the same dilemna - dont like the dealers only RF options - no option to get the XICE or Blizzaks either.

Anyway I hope I still get a few weeks with the Michelin PS before its time to swap over - probably mid Nov for me - now just need the car !

Yeah tpms seem to be straightforward, they come "preprogrammed" to the correct frequency for the car according to the wheelwiz website and then there's just a reset option in idrive it seems, after which you need to take a short drive for it to be reset/activated or whatever. Never done it before so apologies for the lack of specific knowledge lol, I presume it's just a formality.

Same for me for the rest! It's arriving on the 15th in Halifax and then heading to Quebec. I'm thinking I'll get it before end of October so if I'm lucky I'll have a few weeks with the Michelin PS 4S , although I will try to fit the Replika wheels to confirm if they fit right away.

Yeah I'm also hoping for an end of month delivery - plan on pinging the dealer this Friday again. Hopefully we can enjoy our cars with the summer tires before the temp drops...just need ol man winter to wait a few extra weeks this year

Btw Simplytire has pricing out too - I think their wheels are your standard replicas so nothing special but again for winter set up....Heres what they posted..Im thinking about going with the 18s and the Michelin Xice - havent pulled the trigger yet though but may do so tomorrow - the dealer is just inflating pricing for the Pirellis.

Below is their pricing:

Good morning.

How do you compare the two tires. I just ordered the same from the Rack.

Thank you

Very comparable. I find the Vredstiens less noisy too.

Now this is quite interesting I'm have told by a few shops and BMW 18" will not fit the ZTK packaged cars. What size wheels did you go with? Is see 235 so I'm thinking 18x8.5.

We have confirmation at least that the 796m fit in 18 inches with the ZTK package so I'm sure it's possible that at least some non-oem do the trick.

It's actually 18x8 squared, I believe the oem set is 18x7.5 with 225 in the front and 18x8.5 with 255 in the back. So I think 18x8 with 235 is right, it's what they recommended and guaranteed would fit.

I'm really looking forward to trying them on! If they fit hopefully it will give a lot of people a real alternative in 18s.

Original front rims are 8". Also a 35 profile would cause a 6.5% speedometer deviation.

I can confirm that this 18 inch setup fits on my M340i with the ZTK Brake / Cooling package

The entire package was $2,406.88 CAD before taxes. That included the Continental Viking 7, Replika Rims, TPMS and came mounted and balanced.

One of the wheels was initially balanced in a way where a section of weights was two weights deep towards the interior and that part touched the brakes but after rebalancing it, everything is good.

Thanks to Robert @ wheelwiz.ca for putting together this package. He also offered to pay for rebalancing which is nice, really great service!

For comparison, the 796m kit is $3800 CAD from BMW, that's almost $1400 in savings (a bit more with tax). Unless you absolutely can't fathom the idea of non OEM, I highly recommend this to people with the ZTK brakes.

I think I'll just get the 50 year badges for the wheels to match my OEM 19 set.

Here are mine....

Gun Metal 18" alloy AP3
Michelin XICE SNOWs 225-45-18 - so went a step down from the OEM 19" PS4s to these.

All in with TPMS sensors 2395 - so not bad at all.

And perfect timing since we got our first round of snow today...Handled like a champ !

Did you need centering adapters or was the bore size exact?
How quick was the delivery after the order?

There was no centering adapter needed, everything fit exactly since I believe these are BMW replicas specifically. Delivery was really quick.

I purchased on October 12th (Wednesday), it was shipped on October 14th (Friday) and it was delivered on October 17th (Monday) so 3 business days in my case. They are in Montreal and I am in Quebec city. They had to mount and balance the tires, install tpms etc so I feel that's super fast.

Came across a good deal on a set of 647M wheels with TPMS sensors. Added some budget friendly 225/45R19 Kumho Wintercraft WP72. Pretty happy about final cost, which was about $1600 CAD total.
