Bluetooth needs to be reconnected everytime
Super weird. It's like my car stopped recognizing my bluetooth. I changed nothing on my phone/car, but now everytime I drive i need to reconnect my phone. Anyone else has this problem?

Something I have noticed with this type of thing, when I am in my garage and start my car my phone is still connected to a bluetooth speaker in my house usually, and my bluetooth shows the BMW is trying to connect as well and sometimes can't, sometimes both are showing connected but the car doesn't show connection...if I manually disconnect the bluetooth speaker then the car bluetooth starts automatically. The other option is to wait til you leave your garage and eventually the speaker connection drops then the BMW takes over...just a thought may not be your issue

I basically went into Bluetooth options, told it to forget the car. Then reconnected it and it's been good ever since, even with iOS updates. |

Happened to me yesterday in downtown Chicago. My Car Play was connected when I parked and went into a restaurant. When I came back, and started the car I wasn't connected. I turned the phone off and then back on, and I got a screen alert asking if I wanted to reconnect. Then it came back. That was the first time it happened.

I am having the same problem with my car as well. It appears to not be unique to any particular series but probably an iDrive issue. I have to manually connect iPhone each time as it does not connect automatically
anymore. Anyone else? |
