Cobra Springs on M440

Just got my Cobra springs mounted on my 21 M440xi. Overall, love the lowered look as it closed up most of the wheel well gap while note making the car look slammed (I was concerned that the H&R springs would be too much). I also fitted the Dinan bump stops and spacers (10mm and 12mm from Dinan for front and rear, respectively). Everything came nice and quickly, about a week at the longest and I had a local shop recommended by the BMW CCA chapter do the install.

Initial driving impressions immediately after install were that the ride quality is on par with stock for both Sport and Comfort modes (adaptive dampers). I havent gotten a chance to put it through any good twisty bits yet or on some rougher pavement, I will on my commute tomorrow and can provide an update.

The Cobra springs were a solid price option for me (a little over Dinan or H&R, but definite cheeper than ACS) and best of all available/confirmed for the G22. I got them installed for about $700 with alignment (I had to shop around a bit and got quotes ranging up to almost $1200).

An update on driving impression after a few days:

Generally, very comparable ride quality on normal day-to-day driving. I have a fairly long commute over what I would call mixed road conditions (including under construction and poorly maintained highway) and I have not found the ride even remotely jarring. Even in sport mode, its been fairly comfortable on some of these same roads.

I have definitely noticed improvement when throwing the car into a tighter turn at higher speed (a tight coiling off ramp being my test case here). The car leans a less and overall it just feels like it is tracking better and more naturally through the curve. The thing just really feels to stick.

Definitely happy with the improvement and the aesthetic is very nice. Just need to be careful with the concrete parking stops at my office which now dont fit under the front lip of the car.

Hey guys, taking delivery of new 22 M440 and want to do this. Can someone explain why you need these?
" I also fitted the Dinan bump stops and spacers (10mm and 12mm from Dinan for front and rear, respectively)." What do the spacers do when you lower the car? and what are the bump stops?

Spacers are largely for asthetics, dont really need them but they push the wheels out a little for a more flush fit. As for the bump stops, they do exactly that, they act a bit like a shock absorber at the limits of suspension travel. The problem is when you lower the suspension, if you dont at least cut the stock ones you wont get any shock travel and the car will just be trying to sit on the bump stops and squish them.
