Subwoofer / Bass cutting out periodically

I've noticed in the middle of songs the bass will drop for a few seconds. Sounds like the drummer or the bassist just stops playing, rest of the sound is good.

Just yesterday, the bass went out completely and didn't come back until the next day. Seems electrical.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Plenty of threads on Booster problems.

Record the issue and request a warranty replacement, this is a known issue.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago and now it seems fine. It also seems it may have happened when I started the car remotely.

Faulty booster replaced under warranty. If it happens again, make an appointment. The tech said he replaced one on a 3-series last week, so it's not unique to the 4.

I was told it was a software problem and when they updated my car it went away. I haven't had that issue since.

You need a new amplifier - well documented and known by BMW.

Issue you might have at the minute will be lead time on a replacement.
