Cold fob issue

Has anyone else found that their car won't unlock if your fob is cold? I'm outdoors regularly and in the last month or so I've come back to the car and the fob won't unlock the car until I warm it up. Not really great when it's been raining and bloody freezing after playing football. Any other time it's fine as it's been in the house, gym etc. Really annoying!

Just make sure its an official, approved, rigorously designed and tested BMW OE battery or you might fall foul of warranty issues!!

Cheers all. Didn't think it would be a battery issue given it works absolutely fine when it's not cold. Also, do you not get a warning on the dash if it's low? Will try a new battery and see if that rectifies it though.

It will be the battery which are impacted by the temperature especially when low on charge. You’re on the border of the dash message.
