Has anyone tried the carbahn tune for the g20 330i? I went to my local BMW and they said that it was effectively the same as the Dinan+ tune.

Where can I find a Carbahn tune? Their website shows nothing for the 330..

Doesn't show on their website but Gwinnett BMW says that they have one.

Spoke to a technician today who does the performance work at BMW Gwinnett and he said that it's about a 15-20% increase in hp and tq. Total price with installation and warranty is about $1300

Interesting. Wish they'd promote it if that is the case. I was all in on Dinan but would give Carbahn consideration if the option was there, however, I'll likely wait till an OBD option is available. Either that or wait till my warranty expires and the OTA updates slow down.

My guess is that SA was thinking of the F30 330i as there is no Carbahn tune for the G20 330i.

Im not aware of a carbahn tune for the G chassis; I recommend you give them another call and talk to a different rep

Yeah I was a bit confused too. When I went in I mentioned that I hadn't seen the Carbahn tune online or anywhere and they said that they've done tunes on the G chassis before so I'm not sure 🤷🏽*♂️🤷🏽*♂️.

I saw the carbahn tune is now on their website for new model 330I's. Has anyone tried this? Says 397tq/328hp on 93 octane which seems pretty significant. For another $1,000 ($1,750 total) you get the matching power train warranty for up to 50K miles. How would this piggyback compare to a JB4 or the dinan piggyback (other than the power train warranty)

Interesting "stock" flywheel numbers. I know BMW underrates their numbers but I think Carbahn must have a fairly generous dyno.

Fun fact: Carbahn is actual owned by Steve Dinan. He started Carbahn after he sold the original Dinan company.

I am assuming you're talking about the piggyback controller since there is no flash tune available for cars post 06/2020.

Yes, on losing BMW warranty if it's detected. No, on dealer locking your ECU since it's already locked from the factory.

That is not a flash tune - it is commonly referred to as a piggyback controller like a JB4.

None at the moment, everyone is waiting for the ECU encryption to be broken. There are a handful of vendors that claim to do so but it involves sending your ECU to Europe like this company

Thanks so much of all your responses, really appreciate the guidance. This is my first BMW and I am trying to understand what's available - I used to have a Porsche and this is very different - still exciting.
