A bit of good news!

Just had a call from the dealer and apparently residuals on the G23 M440i have been revised upwards to the tune of around £2,500 which knocks nearly £50 off the monthlies

Thanks. It means I'll only be paying £2 a month more than I am for the Z4, so the missus can stick that in her pipe and smoke it

Now there's a really spooky coincidence! Mine too although she doesn't own a dobbin she spends a fortune each week riding every bugger else's !!
Still keeps her happy, out of the way and leaves me in peace with my car!

Fantastic! I didn't know getting a lower monthly cost was possible if your locked in on finance.

Dont think you are officially locked in until you take hold of the keys though. I guess for the same reason they dont register the car until handover day (or very close), in case you dont turn up to collect it.

Sorry, he just said for 440 convertibles so it's possible but I couldn't say.

My PCP through BMW Financial Services states:

Q4 2021 Select Campaign (2.9%) (G22/G23/G26)

It's one of the reasons my dealer pulled out all the stops to get me the car before year end. Have I mentioned I got order to delivery in under 7 weeks? (I'll stop now)

Be interested to find out with my car supposedly not far off.

The difference with G20 / G21 may be that the LCI is just around the corner, don't know if that would have an impact on it or not?

Just spoke to the dealer again. Apparently the residuals were revised on 1 January, so if the car had come in December as originally planned I wouldn't have had the uplift.

So 2.9% and a higher residual. Trebles all round as they say in a well known satirical publication

Sorry! Look on the bright side though - if you decide to keep the car you'll have less to pay at the end, and if you want to give it back early you'll be able to do so about three months sooner. At 2.9% it doesn't really make any difference to what you pay in the long run.

It's really no big deal. The high residuals allowed me to swap a 6 month old M340i for the current M440i so I haven't done too badly out of it.

I love the colour so much I might just keep this one for a while

I can verify that, just finished paperwork for my G22 (yesterday) and the residual amount from BMW FS is unchanged from their August '21 figure....

Also interesting was how the dealer handled the £500 (Touchscreen delete) refund, which was sent by BMW to dealer who in turn sent it via BACS to my bank.
