Delivery stop on 2022

We have a Canadian 430 convertible on order since August 2021. We have the vin, production is done, status says in "transit" but according to dealer the car has been sitting in Germany since November for a "recall". Recall means missing parts ??

What I see from the posts here only "all option" M4 are manufactured and delivered ?

You probably got hit by the RAM stop sale. Enter you VIN at the below site and it should show if you have any open/closed stop sales.

Man, since August, that sucks!

I ordered my 440CV in early November. Like yours. mine is built but its supposedly sitting at the factory. Genius says no stop sales on it, but I think it's too early for them to see that.

Good news I guess, it's not convertible weather here (and certainly not there either) yet....

Yep that is the RAM issue. There seems to be no common timeframe for waiting for the fix so you will just have to keep checking that took for the most up to date info.

Please note that this tool is not 100% accurate. Our M340ix is scheduled for delivery to the dealer this week. Both Genius and the dealer say there are no open recalls or work orders, yet the recall tool still shows code 0065600300 (Checking the installation of amplifier, retrofitting if necessary) as open.

Let us know if your car is actually delivered this week and then we'll be able to see which source of information is actually more accurate lol

Will do. Thus far the car still hasn't gotten on a truck from the port VPC. Genius and dealer say there are no open work orders, recalls, or stop sales, and the EDT was yesterday, January 17. We're hoping tomorrow will bring some movement.

The BMW Recall Info Tool has been showing an open work order for our car and appears to be more accurate than the Geniuses or our Dealer. I repeatedly asked the Geniuses and our dealer if there were any open work orders, recalls, or stop sales on our car. They repeatedly said "no", and that our car had an estimated delivery date of January 17. It has been at the Brunswick, GA VPC for a week, so today I texted our SA asking if anyone had a clue as to WTF was going on. Got a call from the Sales Manager explaining that while there were no stop-sales on the car there was an open work order, presumably for the amplifier. It could be a quick software flash or we could be waiting longer. It's unfortunate that third-party sources are more reliable than BMW and its dealers.

What a helpful tool. Thanks!!
My M340i whos production date was 2021.10.05 in Germany.
Couldn't get a straight answer from the dealership here in Winnipeg (Canada) what was the status is when it was said to be waiting to be shipped out 3 weeks ago and the BMW Genius refers me back to the dealership for updates.
The recall-tool states "no recall 0065480300 Retrofitting the receiver audio module". So I guess it is still in Germany getting an upgrade??
Weather here is crap atm. I can wait a bit longer for it.

I've had this exact same default code for the past 2 weeks since arriving stateside port on 1/5 on my M4 Comp X-Drive. My car was scheduled to be delivered 1/9, but that didn't happen.

The Genius never saw an actual open work order, there never was a "recall" it always said "no recall". I don't think they see those orders, only the same "open" status of the issue itself, but not the actual work order or estimated time of completion.

Only today did it finally "close". It took 14 days.

Wow, 14 days is incredibly quick! Good for you, enjoy the car.

I called bmw genius about the ram issue. They admitted to the problem but tells me there is no stop sale and that it is waiting to be shipped even though its only been sitting at ready for transport for the past 5 weeks. They told me the ram would be installed once it arrives in NJ. Idk why though I got a feeling bmw genius is wrong. Ive been waiting since Oct for this car. I was told I would have my car 6-8 weeks by my dealership. Now my lease has run out & I got no car. Im so aggravated right now. I wish bmw would communicate more.

Any RAM issues are dealt with at the VPC at the stateside port, so that sound right. 5 weeks at the overseas port sounds like a lot of time. Mine sat at there for 12 days. I would ask if it's been assigned a carrier. If so, you are at the mercy of the ship's schedule and how fast they can fill the ship and depart. I was under the impression that it will not leave until it has a significant payload. Then you should have a good idea if it's a BMW issues or a shipping issue.

Yep. That's exactly what this week has been like (and many of the previous weeks over the past 5 months):

Yup its not even on a boat yet nor been assigned a carrier. They said its waiting to be put on a boat. I asked them how long they said they got no clue. I don't know what to do since my lease ran out. Should I call the sales manager to try and get more information? Bmw genius tells me nothing other then its waiting, and my salesman is just as useless. Like you said waiting for 5 weeks at ready for transport is insane.

Unfortunately I don't know what I would do at this point. Maybe ask your CA to call BMW or look up the exact status?

You can call BMWFS and extended your lease. I believe you can extend it up to 3 or 6 months.

This is correct. I used to think that the downside is you have to pay for the entire year of registration, but I was informed by my SA they can get BMW to pay for it.

Same situation here (RAM Shortage). Ordered my m340 in late Oct. The production month shows 10. Have stuck in QC or code 155 since early Nov. Sales has no idea when the car will be released from the port. What is your production month? Really want to know how the fxxk BMW is dealing with this.
