The oil temp at instrumental cluster doesnt match the one display in sport displays. I feel it is just a skin over the actual coolant temp and i feel it is actually displaying coolant temp instead of oil temp.

The fact that it takes longer for gauge to come to operating temp makes me think that it is actually measuring the oil temp but you have a good point.

I've noticed that as well ; when the car is warming up the temperature difference in the cluster and in the sport display seems pretty important and the cluster one is up quicker than the sport display - up to 25° diff during warming ; I really think with M display you still get the coolant temp in the lower right not the oil temp.
