UPS finally delivered the exhaust today after being "out for delivery" since Tuesday. Now I have this huge box sitting in my apartment.
Gonna try to get an appointment with the local Dinan installer tomorrow morning. With the current situation, hopefully I get something sooner than later.

If you have ramps all you need are a couple of sockets and an exhaust pipe cutter ( free rental from autozone ) and a couple of hours. Difficulty of 3/10

Got none of those. Gonna be hard for me to take videos of the installation considering that most businesses want to keep the number of people hanging in their stores/garages to a minimum to comply with the social distancing rule of the government at least here in Canada.

I was moving pretty slow so took me a little over 3 hours on my back with ramps, but it's totally doable as everything lines up perfectly.
So, I just bought the Dinan exhaust kit and looking for confirmation self install was easy. I’d have to do at home with ramps too. Just looking to confirm you had no issues accessing everything while on ramps? Just off the shelf drive up ramps? How high were yours? Also, I’ve never used a cutter before but videos make it look like cake, just hitting the right mark and maybe use a tie wrap to help with pressure? Any extra tips or insights would be appreciated. I might make a video of my install if it’s really that straight forward.

This is totally doable at home and as basically free if you have the ramps/tools bc the cutter is a free tool rental from autozone

I used rhino ramps, I backed my car onto them and had plenty of clearance to reach the cut points

The cut points have identical dents on both sides super easy to do with the cutter, start off firm but not to hard and once you get a good cut started keep applying pressure, this will take 5-10 minutes per pipe, take you time to ensure clean cuts.

Running the wires is a little weird but basically your going to track the wires under the heat shield

Plan for 2-3 hours taking your time, also there will be an awkward lift getting the stock exhaust off and the dinan muffler on but it's not hard you will see once your there.

Dinan's instructions were updated since I installed mine and explain some little points way better so you will have a way easier time about some of the install

If you run into any issues let me know and I can help you out, enjoy and have fun the exhaust is amazing and worth every penny

Awesome. Thanks so much for the reassurance and insights. Particularly the cut point. I should get my kit around May8-10 and will have my teen video me doing the install to share with others.

Any of you guys that already have it installed...are you enjoying it? Do you still get lots of burbles and pops when you let off the gas? Also do any of you have video of what it sounds like?

Hi Dinan. Cool product!

What length are those exhaust tips?

Will installing this at a Dinan installer void my warranty?

It's hard to tell if there is a volume difference vs stock on cold start up from the product video. Is cold start up louder with this system vs stock, or is about the same volume with a deeper tone?

Adding pic of the tips with ikon rear diffuser, the diffuser comes out a little more than the stock and tucks in the tips some more.

1. 4.25" Long.
2. No.
3. Slightly louder but not by a great amount. Definitely deeper.

I'm surprised how tame the cold start is which is GOOD in my opinion. I would definitely say deeper and only slightly louder.

I got a white M340i... I think I'll have to pair the black rear bumper trim to go with the exhaust.. the colour difference looks off
