Looks like here is a biggest Mission to Perform trolling of others work😂
Hope MP will not only push trolls here but will show some real work on newest ECUs. Video without even starting engine looks like kind of ECU “swap” from beginning for me.Mostly everyone who have “bench” tools,old ECU,can make it show “1000hp” with “1000nm” without starting engine itself.
In other hand I can see every day a lot of cars in world who is running Unlock from Femto.
Hope things come more clear to everyone if you will just think about it.

$2995 for a clone to a pre 06/2020 ecu. 650 euro for the post 06/2020+ ecu bench unlock. Those are completely different things. If the dealer updates your ecu firmware after you do the 650 euro bench unlock, you'll have to send it back to them again. Versus the pre 06/2020 ecu you can unlock it again in the US.

I think you're confusing the two ecus. Pre 06/2020 ECU's are non bosch and can get be unlocked right now using just a bench unlock. A lot of shops in the US can do this unlock. I have 4-5 local shops that can do this unlock. Post 06/2020 ecu's are bosch ecu's which are fully locked. For 650 euros you can send your bosch ecu to Femto in Russia and they can do a bench unlock. They are the ONLY people right now that can bench unlock a post 06/2020 ecu. For $2995 they will clone your post 06/2020 ecu to a pre 06/2020 ecu. The difference here is, if you go into the dealer and they do a software update, the ECU is now LOCKED again. So you have to send your ecu back to Russia to be unlocked once again. However, if you have a pre 06/2020 ecu or a cloned to pre 06/2020 ecu, you can take it to local shops in the US that can do an unlock or ship it to kiesmotorsports in NJ and they do like 2 day turnaround for unlocks. Hope this helps.

To be clear, this isn't FEMTO's pricing.

B58 and S58 have different pricing + both have options for keep remote start enabled.

The $2995 you see is from a business like me who handles the service for customers, and is bundling tuning.

We will be offering a UNLOCK only service so you can handle the tuning yourself - BM3, or MG Flasher for example.

It's been hard to do this because we have been randomly hit with $300 fuel surcharges on shipping.

If the ECU is cloned to be a pre 6/2020 ECU, isn't it the version that can be flashed and cannot be locked where it needs a bench unlock?

There are only two ECUs. Anything pre 06/2020 can be flashed via OBD2 with a caveat*. If you have a more recent firmware update (ie software update done at the dealer when they do the brake recall or OTA update) This locks the ecu. It is something BMW started doing to stop people from flashing/tuning. These ECU's need to be bench unlocked. This even applies the F30 340i ECU's. My friend had to bench unlock his 2017 340i. So for example, my car is a 05/19 manufactured car. According to that, I should just be able to flash and go because it is an early version ecu. But it is locked. I verified with MHD and BM3 that I need a bench unlock because I have the 07.2021 firmware update on the car (Dealer did the brake recall before I purchased it). But if I still had the original 03.2020 firmware on the car, I would not need the bench unlock. That is why people tell dealers up front to not update the firmware if they have the bench unlock. I have seen a picture on the forum where someone printed a message of "Do not update firmware" and put it on the screen. This is what I plan to do once I bench unlock next month.
