Had a quick call with Mission since I was curious about picking up a license transfer but it sounds like the 2021+ tuning is going to be a while off. Still going to wait but they made it sound very far off and referred to their website which basically reiterates what was already said in this topic. I wouldn't bother with any ideas of beta testing even if local, they seem to have more than enough and kind of tired of being asked that. Hopefully we get some news next year.

The M3 tuning scene is really getting hot right now after so many people are running 10's just on JB4. I am sure someone else will unlock that ECU soon enough! The demand is building up, so more people will start trying.

Uhh according to missions website it's suppose 560 hp and 480 lb-ft torque on the gauges.[IMG][/IMG]

This is misleading. The g80 tuning scene consists of $6000 tunes and sending ecu to Russia. That's hardly a solution . MP still has the only solution stateside. Hopefully they roll it out soon

It's $2995 for the unlock actually but at least it's a WORKING solution that people can use to unlock their ECU. Most people I have heard from are getting their ECU back within one-two weeks using this solution and they are able to tune like normal. MP has not released anything to the public. And someone will fully crack it soon. Trust me. I have also heard rumors that Femto may be able to soon do the cloning remotely. So the sending to Russia part won't be needed.

Cloned DME. Probably the only viable, safe solution right now. They contacted me: We can unlock it inhouse however we will need the cars for 4-5 days. For a DME unlock and a custom stage 1 ECU tune, we charge: -DME unlock:£1200+VAT -Stage 1: £799+VAT 2300 USD. Wish someone in the US offered this service. Last edited by Rux; 01-13-2022 at 12:58 PM.. I mentioned this to Alex yesterday during my beta app call with him. He shared that originally the gauges were 560/560 but many customers asked that the gauges (not the actual output haha) be lowered so he obliged. He asked my opinion and I said I thought they should be put back to 560/560 which would represent crank and be consistent with the oem approach when it comes to the sport gauge readouts As an example my stage 2 car dynos very safely at 475ish WHP which equates to 525ish+ crank HP depending on what percentage you want to use for drivetrain loss. Once all that is done. if other tuning companies copy their knowledge and tuning processes at least they made their boatload of money initially on the offering of the tune/pre sale. Besides, MP is still going to be the top choice of many people even after the other companies start offering similar tunes. This whole keeping secrets/not releasing tunes/trying to protect their unique way of accessing the DME is essentially a form of greed. Instead of being dedicated to the hobby and the enthusiast they want to find a way to not have someone copy their idea so they can make a ton of money for a long long time. I think they have every right to make money, but coming to market with the product with the best and first solution should hold weight for a lot of people picking a tuning company. They should share their contribution with the hobby and enthusiast and get this party started. |

Don't do it. These cars tuned are stupid fast and still very reliable. Just wait a bit longer. It's definitely coming. G80's/A91 guys need tunes. Someone will crack it or find an easier solution to cloning state side.
