In short, no. If you push the pin through, you might be able to find it in the bottom of the arch liner. It's much easier to either order a bag from ebay (they're 2 quid for 10 iirc) or nip across to your dealer and they should have some in stock.

Re the fittings included with the mudflaps, there actually weren't any with mine.

Cheers.

Fair enough. Thanks.

I have the replacement rivets ready to go, was just seeing if there was an obvious way (that hadn't occurred to me) to get the old rivets out in one piece.

Was thinking to file down each side of the pin and pull it out with some small pliers, but thinking I'll be bored of that by halfway through the first of the four.

Ordered some a week ago + the push rivets. Should arrive within a week or two. Hoping that it will blend in nicely with Dravit.

Got mine today. Bit of a squeeze to do the rears, but not hard at all. Haven't done the fronts yet. Blends in nicely against a (dirty) Dravit.

From the rear, you can't really tell that they're on.

I had a bit of trouble with the fronts, in that the plastic rivet pins needed quite a bit of persuasion.
Nothing like enthusiastically bashing a flakey plastic pin with a hammer just an inch away from the body work of the car.

Apart from that, was a bit of a faff but quite straightforward.

Ah ha. Was going to ask about the fronts. Couldn't get the pins in. So I abandoned it. Maybe I need give more of a bash!! Or I think maybe my pins are a bit too short. I bought the ones off ebay as linked to earlier up the thread.

if its the same pins I had, they were connected to the rivet part initially, so needed to break the connection and separate the two parts.
I did that before bashing with hammer but guess that would do the same job.... when I started of trying to gently persuade them in.

I'm not very patient, so ended up getting a bit more heavy handed, and eventually they gave in.

OMFG!!! Are you serious???? Shows how technically inept I really am. Were yours like these?? Didn't realise the long thing snapped off and went up the chuff.

Silly question (maybe!!)...can you put the rivet in first, and then push the pin in??

Also Turn the pin around when you snap it off it goes in easier

Yeah. snap the pin off, turn it around and then insert into the top of the rivet. Probably less fiddly if you push pin in slightly (like the one on the left in your picture) and then insert rivet. Then push* the pin through the rivet until it disappears.

* where "push" = nervously hammer the crap out of it

You’re not alone, it took me a while to figure out too.
In the end I used a pin hammer to ‘push’ them in.

Fronts now done, now that I was told how to use the very complicated rivet properly!! Think they blend in nicely with Dravit on the fronts as well. Overall, hardly notice they're on.

Thanks all for help & advice. Just hope they work.

Finally had some time during the holiday break and fitted them to my car.
The plastic fit isn't 100% flush with bodywork but acceptable.

Thanks to everyone here for shairng their experiences - I wouldn't have known where to get the rivets from or that brut force is required to get them out!

Before you fit the front mud flaps you might wish to check if your car is the subject of a recall to check the front inner guards.

I have mudflaps fitted and took the car to the dealer in respect of this recall but didn't go ahead with it as they said they would have to take the mudflaps off without a guarantee of putting them back on correctly.

just wondering have people found these mudguards actually help? I haven't noticed the side of the car gets that dirty on the g20 since the arches aren't flared like on the M cars but the rear end gets filthy like most saloons, do the rear guards help with that?

If you think the saloon gets filthy, try a touring. I doubt these guards do much to reduce spray that gets sucked onto the back.
