Congrats!! I placed a similar order late July except Tanzanite Blue II metallic.

If you have a production number, call the BMW genius hotline and speak to an agent! They will tell you much more details. Mainly, your build week. Mine is week 37 (Sept 12-18). Congrats again and, like you, the next 2-3 months (hopefully sooner than later) will be long months!

I also have a G26 on order, TB2 + TacoraRed + all extras except ventilated seats.
Order placed late July & got build week 37.
Ajaxxn, you seem to have gotten a slot from your dealer's previously placed order. Thats a great way to cut down the wait time. BG was my next color choice.

Great color combo…How do you know I was able to get a dealer slot…Would it take much longer otherwise? How much longer? When are you scheduled to begin production?

week37 ends 9/12/21. My understanding is that a week37 build should end the build around the end of that week if all else remain stable. Actual build start sometime before that end date.

If you have gotten a production# from your dealer you have a slot. You can call the BMW genius line to check status or track it yourself with Mygarage at BMWweb. If the dealer refuses to give you a production# then there is a high chance they sold you a car for for a future allocation they do not have yet (not week37).

I ordered ~1week after dealers started getting build allocations in Northern CA (1+ month ago). Dealers here seem to have gotten 2-M440i slots from BMW. If they line up a customer, they can give(pre sell) the build slot to that customer knowing that the car has a high chance of clearing the lot. If not, most likely they would still place an order for the dealership to secure the build allocation (limited to two in this case). They can still change most of the options up-until production start. More than likely you got fitted into one of those dealer order slots & saved ~1month of wait. It seems like "Redditor9000" above have the same order-timeline as me and got week37 also.

Called BMW Genius line and found that mine went into production today. Can't see that on the myBmw site yet but should show in the coming days.
Check your status tomorrow for week37 builds.

Looks like the car in this video is Sunset Orange Metallic. Very nice, and only $550. I hope it's worth the extra $950 for the Individual Aventurin Red Metallic that I ordered….

Aventurin is well worth the extra $. It has a lot of depth to it, very deep red.

Had it on my M550.
