Hello,
I ordered g21 m340 19th july. Only added pan roof. My salesman advised me not to order the tech pack unless I really wanted it as it would probably lead to delays and a delivery time well into 2022. Mine was built last week and is due to be delivered week beginning 6th Dec. Not sure if this helps or not to be fair.

Out of interest what did they remove from your order and how long have you known it was being built last week, thanks

I had passenger lumber removed when I ordered, since them touchscreen has been removed and I think the advanced audio has been replaced with base stereo, but dealer can’t confirm this. Just seen on any 340 built after august (without hk), has its tweeters missing. Genius also suggested it came with base stereo as standard. Not ideal but can’t find anything else I fancy for the deal I got.

Went into build on 14th. Build complete on 20th just waiting on delivery now

When I ordered dealer said it could be sept, oct, nov and definitely here b4 mid December. Was all depending on build slots and if they could buy/swap one from another dealer. It’s moved slightly from delivery this week to week of 6th dec. think I’ve been quite lucky compared to some on here

Cheers for the info, I was told Oct then early on moved to Nov because I lost hand gesture, then told week 52 with hand gesture back. I am now hoping a miracle happens and it goes into production next week lol

Just off the blower to BMW UK, checking status of order placed 31/10/21 , its '1100 Scheduled' was all he could tell me. Couple of days ago, had email from sales, telling me it was now an expected delivery date of May , thats gone from March ,which was the original expected delivery date.
Spec wise I went for
G21 M340D
Sapphire Black
Pan roof
Shadowline plus
Tech pack
Comfort plus
M Front seats
Park assist plus
carbon interior
Still toying with adding Vis pack , dealer said this could potentially knock delivery back yet again...

Mine’s got touchscreen but never use it and tell people I don’t have it so it stops people’s grubby paw prints all over my iDrive screen!

I am forcing myself to not prod the screen and just use my idrive, I can live without it and certainly not a deal breaker now... Still unsure why reverse assist has to go to as this has nothing to do with the touchscreen, I actually rarely use it, hardly at all but sods law only last night on a unlit tiight twisty country road I had to reverse to the nearest passing point, reverse assist made this a breeze, sure I can do it myself, have many times over the years but reverse assist made it so much easier...

Never used it, see it when I reverse the car but have no idea how it works. I still reverse the old fashioned way and look over my shoulder and use the door mirrors...real old fossil! Even the rear camera 'live' picture is more for passenger amusement than owt else!

Try it, unnerving at first and you just want to do it yourself, I didn't like it but have used it dozen times possibly more and it is very good, weird but good, it's one of the reasons I have now gone for the pack plus so I can use the automated driving, not that I will probably use it that much but in stop start traffic, yep I am comfortable enough now to let it do its thing,

Sounds like there’s lots of us still in the same boat. My mid-June G21 M340i order has just moved to “scheduled for production” in mid-December but I’m not holding my breath. Also no touch screen for me but I’ve come to peace with that after reading the various views on here.

I’d love to see the car in January but I’m resigned to further delays. I’ll have to make a call on it in the new year and maybe go down the used F80 route for a couple of years.

I didn’t go crazy on the spec and I’ll have to dig out the order to confirm but off the top of my head I’ve got tanzanite blue, shadowline, pano roof, comfort plus and HK. I toyed with the m sport seats but my wife didn’t like the tan and I went for oyster in the end.

Thanks, I had hoped you had the tech plus, my timeline if it doesn't get delayed any further isn't too far from yours, I also toyed with the sports seats and have changed my mind and would add them but with what's happening I can live with my chosen seats.

I'll give it a try then...probably in a deserted car park just as the dawn is breaking so nobody else about...that should be safe enough!
