Valuation of G20 car

Just looking at the valuation of my car online.

Motorway.co.uk and Webuyanycar

If you have BMW extras like full M Sport body kit and 20" wheels costing an extra £6K these don't appear to be included in the valuation

Has anyone got more from these buyers or gone to the main dealer to get a better price ?

Mods like these rares gain any extra on resale I'm Afraid. Be better off buying the original parts and sell them on

As Davidoff says, body kits and wheels are worth little or nothing on the second hand value. Lucky if you can get 10% of their original cost. They will just help sell a car against ones that don't have them.

To get an accurate valuation from motorway you need to actually go through the full process adding photos etc, then they send that info out to dealers to bid on the car, I expect you'll see an small uplift in price once the dealers see that your car has the kit fitted

Garage List
I have found the G20 seems to hold its value if you keep the miles reasonable.

Had mine valued recently and valued at only 2k less than I paid for it 2 years ago with 18k miles I put on it.

I'd also get some independent valuations from local independent dealers - some really value cars specced like that and pay slightly better money for them, but as previously stated you're not going to recoup the investment.

I'll upload some pictures and see what they say. I called one BMW dealer and wasn't interested at all

Try David James Limited, based in Newcastle and deals in nice spec cars etc. Sold my old 320d last summer and got a good deal, even better than any of the main dealers. I was very happy with the service, very straight forward and took into account of the m performance parts I had, even got a bit more due to that.

Just out of interest, are you looking at values purely out of curiosity or actually to sell the car? Am I right in thinking you only recently got it?

Nice guys there - I was helping my mate sell his car and spoke to Kylan there I think. Ended up selling it to another local dealer called Redgate Lodge - again another nice group of guys.

Currently out of interest and if the price is right I have an idea of a VAN instead of this car

I'll be honest on here now and say it....

The M340i is perfect and almost too good for my needs. Its the best car I've owned and as a daily is the best car I've driven. It does it ALL but has come with some negative points.

Only yesterday coming home from Devon on the M5 another BMW couldn't wait to pass me, a Golf R decided he didn't want a BMW to pass him in the fast lane, the list goes on.
Yes I can slow up, remove myself from the situation but I feel I've done it now and bored.

But with the laser lights, B58 Engine, Xdrive & headup display this really is a drivers car and I'll would miss it. So not 100% sure I'm ready to sale , it will come down to money and a deal.

I've seen a few G20 in the flesh, but not many with full M body kit and 20" forged M wheels. I've loads of comments when filling up for petrol about how nice it looks or would I sale the car etc etc. I know its my car but not seen another looking like this. I just know if I sale to WeBuyAnycar their wet themselves and someone will add £££££££ to the price

It is a nice looking car. Did you get it from Salisbury as pretty sure I saw it (or one very very similar) on the forecourt when my car was in for a warranty job.

Other option if you're not desperate to sell / want the price you want for it is to advertise privately. It sounds like it's a fantastic spec, and that's very hard to come by in the current climate, so I'd say you're odds on to sell it.

I had some chav tried to race me in an S3 the other day - just politely pulled over and let him pass me! De-badging the car may also help not entice the pricks driving hot hatches.

Yep, had mine debadged when it was detailed shortly after I got it. I suppose someone who knows their BMW's can still tell what it is with the cerium grey grille, door mirror covers, etc, but to the vast majority it just looks like an ordinary 3-series Touring - especially from the back - and that suits me fine.

Probably less easy to fly under the radar when your car's sporting things like a splitter and larger alloys though; even when it's all relatively tasteful and subtle it looks different and will therefore attract attention (some of which will almost certainly be unwanted!).

Try Wizzle.

I had some very good offers on that, just be sure to upload plenty of shots from numerous angles and add ANY additions that are not mentioned in the check boxes.

Looks nice.

Speak to Phil here https://www.webuysupercars.com/

They buy all prestige cars and will give you a proper value based on the car and options. Collect the car and money in your account/finance settled etc.

That’s just because pretty much everything 2nd hand is inflataed due to the new car issues.

My wife’s Auris has increased from £7500 to £12750 in the last 6 months or so.

Aye. My Amarok that I bought 4 years ago, is £1k more today than what I paid for it. Don't use it a lot, and only put about 6k miles p.a.

Crazy at the moment. My mate's father-in-law sold a top-spec Amarok before Xmas. Bought it new, ran for a year and put 10k on it, and sold for £10k more!

It's all ok unless you need to buy something else 2nd hand!

I have a mate/neighbour who runs a JLR dealership. IIRC he said that dealers aren't allowed to sell new above MSP, but that doesn't apply to 2nd hand.

As for Amarok's saw a (very) nearly new all bells and whistles for £60k (+VAT)
