Just checked on Motorwey and mine has depreciated by 7.5% since I bought it in May. Not sure if that is good or not! Suspect not. Though being realistic, if a dealer bought at that price and put their margin on, it would be more than what I paid.

When I sold my F30 through motorway the amount I was eventually offered and received after the details were sent out to dealerships was £1700 more than the original motorway "offer" on originally inputting the Reg number…that first figure is not always representative

Just had a quote from BMW Milton Keynes on mine.
30/10/2020 registered , G20 Touring 330e M sport pro- Bought new . Its done 16500 Miles. £53,000 paid when new, now worth £36,000. I thought that seemed quite low/ high depreciation! WBAC £35,000 Jack |

Surely £53k was list price rather than what you actually paid for it?

Sorry, Beemer is right, got my numbers wrong. Just checked the PDF was 55k, paid 51,400. Got 6% off the list. It does seem like quite a big hit though considering its only 15 months old.
They wouldn't budge anymore on discount at the time. |

I'm too scared to look. Don't have any intention of selling at the moment so not a great deal to be gained by knowing how much money I've already lost.
Fully expected though before buying new. Worked out it was going to be roughly somewhere after the 24 months of ownership that I may be in some kind of equity in terms of value to remaining loan balance.

My car was stupidly expensive because it has pretty much every option (from just before the deletions started). I realised from the start that I'd never get my money back on the extras, but I bought this car as a long-term keeper.

Although I did get about 11 to 12% off list when I bought it last June. If the LCI looks crap I'll be keeping it allied to not wanting to lose the ICE and don't like the idea of limiters one little bit! |

Bought mine Feb 2020 for £45k. Reasonable discount at the time; Touring in Tanzanite with Tech Pack. It continues to be mad. May 2022… 14,300 on it. Got offered between £35,500 (Motorway) and £38,300 (WBAC).
….then a dealer offered £41,000. So £4k in 2 and a bit years. Shop around and call dealers asking if they want to buy for stock. It seems they all do… Last edited by MD707; 05-29-2022 at 12:24 AM.. |

How does the G20 value hold up with higher mileage? I'm considering one but I'll be doing 15k a year

In Sept 2020 I sat in BMW Tunbridge Wells attempting to trade in my 2019 330i for a 2020 M340i.
I paid £32,750 in Sept 2019 for my 330i with 6k miles, M Sport Plus, Technology, Comfort and Visibility. List price was over £48k. The M340i was up for £40,995. I figured somewhere between £12k -£14k plus the 330i would seal the deal. A very rude Sales Manager stormed in and told me I was being completely unrealistic and my 330i was only worth £22,500 as he would need to spend £4k to put through the BMW used program and sell it for £28k, although it was almost showroom condition with just 10k miles. He pointed to a bog standard 330i on the forecourt at £28,995 which he said he had part exchanged the previous week and would not budge one inch. I asked about the fact that my car had over £8000 worth of options to which he replied that he had allowed me an extra £300 on the part ex offer for mine. I walked away and still have the 330i hardly driven due to lockdown. Such a great car with adequate performance I still would like to upgrade but can't be bothered with rude BMW Dealers. |

The above was Sept 2020, and the point of my post was that the BMW dealer offered me only £300 more for over £8k in options over a similar base spec car on their forecourt. WBAC at the time were offering £26.500. BMW offered my £4k less!
Today, over 18 months later WBAC are offering £27,600 at first valuation. I did speak to an independent about part-ex prices and he told me that when they get their valuations online from Glass Guide etc, the value they get is based on the individual car from the Reg or VIN number based on the original list price with all the extra's. |
