Camera errors

Hi All. Just want to check for peace of mind. The last couple of days in my drive to work on the motorway a message has popped up on the idrive screen saying there is reduced functionality of drive assistance and a suggest to clean the area on the windscreen in front of the rear view mirror.
I cleaned it yesterday when I got to work thinking the rain had covered it as that area is not covered by the wipers.
This morning on my drive same error again, however this time no rain.
When I arrive in work I checked the area all the sensors and cameras are located and can see what looks like misting on the inside that's blocking the view.

Does anyone else get this? Trying to decide if normal or I need to raise it as an issue.
Many thanks

It is covered by the wipers and it's the misting causing the issue. Probably just the current temperatures but whether it's worth the faff of the dealer.... Hmm. If you don't have the full driver assist all it does is the lane departure / emergency braking, both of which are a PITA.

I think if you put the rear window demister on, it also does the area in front of the camera. I think. Not entirely sure. Worth a go anyway.

I've got driver assistance pro and whenever it has said that services are reduced the cause has been the lower radar in the grill being dirty rather than the sensors around the mirrors

I’ve had the reduced function error maybe 2 or 3 times since getting the car in October (And I’ve done 14k miles since getting it).

It’s always been on cold days and the roads have been gritted. Always cleared once I’ve stopped and cleaned the radar and reset the rear heated screen.

Here’s the windscreen camera when it did it once…
