23 M340 HK audio upgrade
I just took delivery of a 2023 M340 xdrive with Harmon Kardon. Im looking to add significantly more bass but wanted to not cut wires and go with a plug n play setup if possible. I wanted to add two 10” or 12” subs along with an amp of course but my question is whether it’s possible to do this with a plug n play setup with your harness. I heard worn Harmon Kardon that the factory amp is in the idrive8 head unit so that makes it more difficult. Are you able to tell me if this is possible and what setup you recommend?
Tagging Technic in case they can help…. Thanks! |

I'm using a match amp that's plug and play and includes the correct harness

This has some info. Otherwise technic's harness let's you add an external amp where you can power your subs. No wire cutting or splicing. |

Basic wiring scheme for a external sub:
Booster(factory) -{high level signal}- LOC -{low level signal}- Mono Amp - SUB You don't need loc if your mono sub is compatible with +30V high level signal input. But you may hear the latency of trunk sub with this setup not having DSP. |
