Major remorse after powder coating OEM Wheels

my m440i came with 858m wheels 18" (https://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/bm...58m_wheel_7813)

I wanted a more aggressive look to match the M4 competition. And decided to powder coat the wheels gloss black.

The results are disappointing. I think this particular style of wheel and size does not look good glossed out and I am having major buyers remorse.

What do you guys suggest I do? Should I powder coat them in a different color? Should I buy after market wheels?

I think you need new wheels after that one mate.. Then again could look super meaty with the right aggressive tire setup.

Can you expand please ? What tire size would you suggest that could improve the look ?

You would appreciate a 255/40r18 square setup wrapped in Michelin Pilot sport 4s's. Economy tires certainly don't help the look imo

Looks like a winter wheel set now. The lip and spokes are too thick on this design to be all black.

Not a fan of the all black look. I think they looked better standard.

They do look slightly like you have four spare tyres on.

I think they look fine, the gloss black matches the shadowline parts.

I hate to be negative, but I agree. This style wheel just doesn't work in all black

These weeks really only work as two tone IMO. Maybe see if they can put a polished, silver, or machined design back on them? Hard to say without seeing them in person

The stock color combo looks better than the powder coated black IMO because the contrast makes it pop much more, but with that said, the latter doesn't look so bad to where I'd be rushing to change it. I think you should definitely go aftermarket because of the massive variety of design, finishes and sizes out there.

They do not look bad at all. IMO I think they look better than stock, that weird brushed contrast looks cheesy to me, like they were curbed. Dig the black, pictures are hard to see depth, im sure they look great!

I figured out today why I like them better black.... Because it reminded me of a veloster I saw...https://www.hyundaiusa.com/us/en/vehicles/veloster-n

I like them all black. I'm a bit biased however. At first glance I thought you had had the 791M wheels

I think they look good, it's just a big change compared to stock. I think tinting the windows would pull the whole look together.
