I've tried UNK_PARAM_28. The result was stop lights off with blinkers, but get hyper flashing
Then I've tested UNK_PARAM_22, result: stop light no blinking, no hyper flash, but only outer lamps works
So I'm still looking...
I just tried UNK_PARAM_22 as well as 28 with no luck.

It successfully separates the turn signals from brake lights but I still get hyper flashing.

I wonder if having lasers light option upfront makes a difference.

Do you have laser lights up from on your car? And do you have front foglights?

I am assuming all of those would change the parameters.

OK thank you, then sounds like our cars are the same. Also, dealer installed the 7/2020 software update on my cars as well.

Do you have possibility to code BDC via Bimmercode with 07/2020?
I've seen that not every option works with newest software
I still have 11/2019

Just a thought, try to locate the "warm bulb check(s)" for the turn signals and disable them.

This resolves the hyper-flashing on the F gen vehicles, when retrofitting the LED LCI taillights..

The problem is that the parameters that exist in BDM are designed across multiple vehicles. So we really don't know what exact vehicle and light options say param_22 is designed for.

It couple be a wild goose chase if you start going through all the bulb checks. It is a very good idea though.

So I had this working on 07.2019 with @larrylam646's values, but I get hyper flashing with those values after being updated to 07.2020. Attached is the new diff of 5665 that I generated between ECE (5U71) and US (5U73). Yellow are unchanged differences from 07.2019, green are new value differences, and red are values that are still different, but have changed. There were a few previously different values that are now the same, and thus are not listed in my sheet. After making these new changes the rear turn signals function independently without hyper-flashing. Maybe these values will help others with the hyper-flashing issues too.

For a more copy/paste friendly version, view the PR I have up for Esys cheats here - https://github.com/packetpilot/bmw-f...0783afcf8f2eb0

Did you still encounter any hyper-flashing turn signals, with these parameters?

So like some of you, I tried to FDL code the BDC_BODY to behave like the ECE tail lights but I could not discover how the tail lamp LEDs are physically and logically referenced/mapped. Without the mapping, it would be next to impossible to figure-out.

I then came across a posting by greekcs on side-marker delete (by changing the typecode to ECE and VO coding the FLM2s). I did not care to delete my side markers but I was curious to see if it would work. To my surprise, it worked.... on the F32 platform, this method would cause the turn-signals to hyperflash.

So that gave me the idea of doing the same thing with BDC_BODY.

1) I compared the US and ECE versions of all BDC CAFD files and note the differences between the US and ECE parameters that I did not want to change. See below...

7083 NFC_KEY_VALD_LONG 5min
7083 NFC_KEY_VALID_WINDOW_OPEN 20sec
7083 PF_SZT_LIN_VAR nicht_aktiv
7083 RCI_HF_FREQUENCY wert_04
7083 RCM_DEFAULT_IDG_4TH_BUTTON_LONG Wert_03
7083 RCM_PANIC_ALARM aktiv
7083 RCM_PANIC_ALARM_3TIMES aktiv
7083 UGDO_COUNTRY USA
7083 VAM_CCM_COOLANT_TEMP aktiv
7083 WW_FRONTWASCHEN_VIA_SRA_OUTPUT aktiv

2) I edited my FA Typecode to ECE, VO Coded BDC_BODY and FDL Coded the parameters I noted in 1) back to the US values.

3) I then added back my BDC Cheat Codes and custom FDL Coding.

Guess what... it worked.... Brake lamps are no long functioning as turn-signals and the rest of the tail lamps (parking, turn, back-up) appear to function properly in both outer and inner assemblies.

I still need to test brakeforce (I want all three brake lamps to flash). FYI, my tail lights did not come with LED ICs soldered onto the Fog lamp PCB.

Please note in my experience, the brightness/lumenous output for turn-signals and parking lamps are lower for ECE than NA so these lamps in the rear will not be as bright as the fronts unless you follow greekcs' method for side-marker delete.

Edit: Tested brakeforce when it got dark outside. Brakeforce appears to be working properly i.e. all 3 brake lamps are blinking.

Larry
Larry, what tool are you using for CAFD files compare?
NCD/CAFD Tool from Tokenmaster doesn't work with G20 files. Or maybe I'm doing sth wrong..

Hi Qba,

I am currently using EsysX (launcher), Esys 3.34 and Notepad++.

In Esys, the FDL-Editor and Coding-Verification tools can write-out CAFD ".fwl" files. Use Notepad++ to compare CAFD ".fwl" files.

See https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...44&postcount=2

Or purchase the "Expert" version of EsysX. It integrates a CAFD file comparison tool.

Successfully coded de-coupling the brake lights from the turn signals using the values above! There were a few UNK-PARAMs that weren't available - changed those to "G20, G21...ECE Code 1/2" as stated by jk1112 in a previous post (page 4 I believe)

Am running on 07.2020 software and used EsysX and Esys 3.27.1. Unfortunately, some of the parameters were not available via Bimmercode, but since I had experience with Esys on my previous F30, it wasn't too difficult to FDL code the changes between NA and ECE parameters!

Thanks to larrylam646 , jk1112, siegester and anyone else for sharing the coding they found. Was able to code the euro turn signals pretty easily on my car which is on 7/2020.

Also I added in the extra values to change to get the anti-dazzle lights working better. Before all I did was remove 5AP and FDL code and then change COUNTRY_VARIATION,
C_FLA_BS_ENTER_THRESH and C_FLA_BS_EXIT_THRESH and it worked fine but being in NYC it still rarely went off due to car reflectors or signs. I didn't get a chance to test the additional changes yet to see if they make a difference but can't wait!

This is exactly what I am looking for! What do I have to do, as a person that has no idea how to code, to get this done? Is there somewhere where I can learn to code? Is there anyone in Colorado I can pay to do this for me? Please help! My only alternative is to just not use my turn signals at all! LOL

Right now you and I are screwed. Both necessary launchers are unobtainable. The best you can do is VO coding with esys and no launcher, which doesn't work for the blinker coding

So it's not as bad as I feared, I can still code this with launcher pro, but new people cannot get it. reach out to someone who does remote coding and they can help.

Also, I had to generate a new diff for 2021.07 as none of the previous value combinations worked. I'll post the new values once my desktop works again
