I have a few homes in N.E. several driveways/walkways needs to be maintained so I bought multiple shiny new snow throwers, got (middle) grade machines WITHOUT hand warmers thinking it's a waste of money?!? I wear gloves when I'm clearing snow only old guys (cream puffs) need em

Sales guy said these ariens will last for 20 years if properly maintained, when your older your hands will get stiff and cold, we highly recommend this model with the warmers, I laughed, not me I'm in my 30's, NO NEED

Well fast forward just a couple years, I can't feel my mothe*r Fuc**ng hands...

Ordering hand warmer retrofits now

Biggest thing I miss on my GLC300 is the heated steering wheel. Nothing beats toasty hands.

When you get to be my age, you'll be looking for a heated pen...to sign the checks for the plow guy.

Oh, and you might be old if you know what a check is and how to write one.....

After February 2015 (multiple 30"+ snowstorms) back to back to back to back I wanted machines on sites just for a backup, plow guys back then took days to clear fresh powder then another storm would hit?!?

And ya, I'm old enough to remember bad snow seasons lol

Born in 82 so I can't say "remember blizzard of 1978" like most of you guys

April fools day blizzard 1997
Halloween ice storm 2011

I haven't written a check ever, @ stop n shop I do see seniors write checks at the checkout counter, someone please tell me why is that still a thing?

I can't imagine my dad gone, I talk to him all the time for advice, whenever I'm in a situation he reminds me I will make the right decision (raised me right)

All that said
I still can't drive with him for more than an hour, he drives with high beams @ night, passes on the right lane and thinks the speed limit is just a suggestion...

couple years ago I took him and my son on the autobahn, I said, now you can go for it, your in a 400hp bimmer (he drove just 120kph exactly) to Salzburg lol

With that being said, he sounds like a prime candidate to drive or ride with. High beams at night are when they should be used, of course they need to go to lows when encountering other vehicles. I pass cars in the right lane almost every time I get in a car, but only because everyone drives in the left lane like assholes. Get'em in the right and I'll pass them in the left. Speed limits are suggestions. Sometimes we feel like obeying them, sometimes we don't. Much like how LEO's sometimes pull me over for breaking the speed limit and sometimes they don't.

Don't get me wrong I love and respect my father but we have totally different driving styles

In John's mind they are all driving on HIS roads,
I drive 50k miles a year I'm a more cruising type AKA creampuff (mostly because I'm in a cargo van or crew cab truck)

I can drive BOS/NYC with just a few brake applications, my dad would need to check the pads if they're burnt out @ rest stops

He makes it in 3.5 hours I'm consistently @ 4

I asked what was his favorite car was that he owned, within a second he said it's a tied, mint green 93 500e and his blk/blk 1990 560sec

He led me to be passionate about cars, I'm now doing the same to my son
