I've never been a fan of powerful station wagons...but this looks pretty good. It looks mean.

I really wish they would have brought (well, kinda glad they didn't cause I have more money in my pocket because of it) but I would have traded my f80 in quick for a G80 wagon.

We were talking about wagons and I referenced that was the “best I could do “ until we finally get a wagon back again.

I'm starting to call bullsh!t on this. The next M5 wagon is confirmed for US market. Unless this also means the regular 5-series wagon will arrive first then this argument falls apart. That is, if there is some loophole that BMW allows to raise the MSRP as a work around to safety/production requirements

No one cares about the "best you can do" in this thread or about some supermodded 3 series. This thread was about the only touring wagon in NA not someones project car.

If you don’t already know how to do it, it’s not going to happen.

This car is probably on a temporary import under the show and display exemption. I don’t even think it can be driven on public roads. It has to be exported after a certain point or it will be seized and crushed.

You need to read the regs from CBP, EPA and DOT/NTSB. Then talk with your broker and registered importer.

There are a few other ways, but none of them would be permanent… foreign military and diplomats can bring them in on a temp basis. There’s also a temp import but it would need to keep foreign registration and insurance. You see this a lot with Europeans bringing RVs or motorcycles to the US to drive all over the country for the summer before exporting them at the end of their tour.

Sounds like what R44 must have done to get theirs on the road in the US.

The RS 7 is not in any way even close to a wagon. Just because it has a hatch instead of a regular trunk, the cargo volume and shape isn't even remotely close.

If you asked 100 people on the street, 99 would tell you it's a sedan with a trunk. Hell, it has a less slopey rear than a CLS did, and that had a regular trunk.
