So it seems like limited press drives at Sachsenring with embargo to be lifted tomorrow?

Some minor tweaks on the grille as the attached pictures where the thing suddenly looks 10 times better.
As I mentioned a couple times earlier, the grille must 1) shape more vertically (compared to the curved shape as is), and 2) be a little wider.

One thing I don’t like is the black trim along the sides and bottom of the rear bumper. It looks cheap and aftermarket to me.

I think it looks more like the trim of a factory track focused model as the GT2/GT3 RS or Nissan GTR, just maybe need a black diffuser to blend in a bit better.

With proper (non-fisheye) pics, the grill looks better and better to me - big, but not too big. BMW is reeling folks in. Fun to watch. Can't wait to hear that sigh of relief in September after the reveal and watch the love start rolling in.

One thing is sure with the S58 already giving 700hp from just a tune in the X3M the xdrive version of the m3/4 is going to be weapon, 6 secs to 100mph and mid/low 10s over the 1/4 mile will be just $900.

Interesting detail in picture 1.
You can see the sidewalk right through the side vent. It looks like possibly 2 blades/canards in the channel inside the vent. |

I think I got used to look at this big grill that it doesn't bother me as much.
Nice job softening us up

I think it's so hard to say yes or no, I've not formed an opinion yet and kept off this topic but the more the real car is revealed the better it gets. The camo does what it's intended to do and keeps me guessing. It's gotta be ok, the brand we all love has made some great looking cars and I so want them to be better than us at car design and we're all wrong and it's aggressively awesome with loads of presence. Come on guys let's get behind them and give them the benefit of the doubt, let's be excited, so much tedious groundhog stuff with us already!
(I reserve the right to be wrong and it be a pig but I so hope not) |

Yep exactly how I expected it. I like the car now. It looks good. I hate sit before I think when they match it up with the actual wheel it's gonna look so good.
