ICONIC GLOW Installed however...
Today I picked up my BMW G20 M Sport 330i and have the Iconic Glow Black installed + Mperformance side skirts.
When I checked the form in my car on how Iconic glow works they stated they deactivated the right Light Carpet. I find this weird, is this because of the idea that M Performance stuff is all about the individual or is this just a stupid dealer idea. I will call them tomorrow to find out so keep you posted... |

This does not sound correct to me as I thought the grille was fed from the headlight and why the hell would you only deactivate one side of the light carpet??

I didn't know this was available for the G20. Here's a link to some info:

See below the pictures. I wonder what does reasons of Approval are. I hope this is just code related and not to the wiring setup. The BMW Dealer installed this btw.

I can agree that the iconic glow is connected to the same connectors as the magic light carpet. However, they should just use a splitter so both magic carpet light and iconic glow are working at the same time. I would visit another dealer or contact BMW AG directly for an installation manual.

Update, everything seems to work fine now. Iconic glow goes on while driving (so does not turn off) and will show in the front when unlocking the car depending on how bright it is outside. All coding is fine now. No UI update like the X6 so I can't manually turn it off that is the only downside.
I think while driving the light is just subtle and not overwhelming, the headlights as expected take the main focus when passing by fast, if driving slow you can clearlly see the Iconic glow, if its really dark the iconic glow shows best. |

UK advice on floor led
Quote:
i'm trying to get bmw in the uk to resolve this for me, as i have had the same issue where they have disabled the floor led after installing the iconic grille... when i asked them to resolve it, they said this is installed as per the instructions and it is correctly installed. There must be someone that can advise them how to get it all to work... |

BMW Amstelveen : van Poelgeest in The Netherlands. Just tell your dealer you don't accept this, and that they should fix this. They can code it. |
