Can I get an M340i without a sunroof in NA?
Is the M340 available without a sunroof in North America? Saw a picture of a Euro version that looked like it was a full metal roof without the sunroof glass.

Confusing for sure - reducing option complexity reduces manufacturing costs but if the M340 is available in Europe or ROW with out a sunroof then that means it is a BMWNA marketing decision.

It's also a take rate ratio that they look at for North American buyers. If you look at a lot of models (even outside of BMW), they don't offer models without sunroofs in NA.

Take rates are driven by what dealers order unfortunately and would be different if more cars were custom ordered.
What about G30 330i - sunroof delete available? The F30 330i was available in 6MT without a sunroof and the 340i had available 6MT but still had to get the sunroof. |

And US people don't know when to use the rear fog at all. I just want to high beam the sh*t out of idiots that leave it on at night without significant fog, which is almost never. They just need to remove it from US cars.

US drivers don't know when to use front or rear fogs. They leave the front on all the time because they think they look cool...worst is when they throw shitty 6000K bulbs in them, so they scatter light too. The rears I think they don't even know they are on. Audi drivers seem to be the worst.

I think the CPO team has a little more pull. They want lease returns that subsequent customers actually want to buy. Frankly, I am surprised the residual values don't vary more based on color and configuration.
