That is not something you can code, your car have to be born with it.

I put these codes together which work fine on a G05 etc so should also work on the G20.

Awesome thanks @ifr!

Out of curiosity why are the last block of modules/functions crossed out?

Gonna try these soon, this will get me closer to what I want the car to do during assisted driving.

They are set on a UK car but don't appear to be needed. You can set them if you like.

I have the speed limit assistance that allows me to manually accept the limits, I have activated to test the automatic, in BDC >> AUTOMATISCH, STRECKEN_VERLAULF, VORAUSSCHAU, VOFFSET_LANGSAM, VOFFSET, in the HU_MU
SLAAUTOMATISCH, STRECKENVENRLAUF, VORAUSSCHAU, VOFFSET AND VOFFSET_LANGSAM, I get the option in the idrive and it lets me accept it, but then when it comes time to work, it does not change the limiter or the cruise alone, I think I need to activate the SAS2, but with bimmercode I can't

You can't code aSLA with BimmerCode. You need esysx.

Almost..

Using your coding sheet @ifr I almost got aSLA working. The car goes 10mph above the set speed, but unfortunately, the auto-adjust does not work and a warning pops up about "not active in your country".

My G20 does not have SAS/42C1, but I did find all the functions in the DSC_VIP_IB2/3D78. However, it errors out when I try to code it in that module.

Any help would be really appreciated!

Btw, any idea what "2nd adjustment up to 40mph" is? The limit is still 10mph over or under.

Here is the error from esys:

DSC_VIP_IB2 [39]
cdDeploy FinishedWithError
cafd_00003d78-007_010_102 NotExecutable

If you have DAP then you have SAS. If you don't have DAP it won't work.

Make sure you connect in diagnostic mode. This should also address the VIP issue, but VIP coding should not be necessary and won't substitute for SAS, which is why you are getting the country error.

The second speed allows you to set 2 speeds . 1 up to 40mph and the other above 40mph. I set up to 40 at +2mph and above 40 at +5. This ensures I won't get a speeding ticket

Apologies, what js DAP? And for that matter SAS?

I've not done esys in diagnostic mode. Gonna see if I can figure that out right now.

And thanks for the quick response! It is much appreciated!

Silly me, I read the ecu with the engine off. Apparently that's a rookie mistake! But I'm a rookie. Thanks again!! Gonna try to code it now using the SAS functions.

Test drove it and it worked pretty well, I was happy with the changes in speed, not too abrupt and nice to have it.
Though not all went well, for some reason my driver assistance view in the instrument panel was dark. In fact nothing was coming up anymore including the map. The speedometer and everything were working fine. Also noticed in the HUD the cars it detected were not coming up either...

That doesn't sound related to the aSLA coding as the only times I've seen that behaviour is due to changes in DKOMBI. Have you made any changes there too?

My approach would be to first let the car sleep, then confirm the issue is still prevalent. Then revert your aSLA changes only. If that fixes the issue then document the difference in codings for each ECU between what you have set at your car and what the spreadsheet lists i.e. document what you had to change for each ECU. Then you will need to to troubleshoot the codes that may be causing the issue. I can recommend the codes to try first.

I'm not sure if others have coded aSLA on G20. I know G05/G07 have been coded without issue.

@ifr,

Is the reason you can't code auto Speed Limit Assist with Bimmercode is that the SAS module is not included? If so, I contacted developer and he said it's on their to do list, but no date set up yet.

BTW, what does VIP stand for -- in this context, of course?

Wow this is super helpful thanks!! Now all of these acronyms make a lot more sense.

I let the car sit overnight and that seemed to do the trick, how odd. I shut it off and locked it last night, but it still was coming up blank. Now it works tho, hopefully will continue to do so.
