It's not like Bloomberg was hiding his past statements. He owned them right up front. Quite a bit different than paying off hook--
---errrr, actresses to buy their silence. So no, it is not like the DJT stuff IMO. But we'll still be hearing about it for as long as Bloomberg is a candidate.

The media machine/wall street seems to be getting behind Bloomberg and will go all out to squash Bernie. Watch.

I'm curious to hear from the democrats on this. IF Bernie were to be the nominee, would you actually vote for socialism? Not vote, or vote for Orange Man *gasp*

I can't see wall street allowing Bernie to get the win.

Just listen to the MSM talking heads and you'll be able to see and hear who the establishment want. The dnc doesn't give a damn about the little people's wants. Bernie could be riding high this morning but he's not stupid. He knows the machine is out to get him. Can he overcome? I give it 40/60, with him being the underdog.

The bottom line is Bernie would be crushed by Trump. Absolutely crushed.

Yang is officially out. Kloubacher (sp) is the only one I could live with as President. Pete is just too creepy and machine like. Not to mention the nonstop pandering just like Joe and Liz. Nothing worse than listening to the suck ups. Bernie is the only one with real convictions. Crazy, but convictions. Bloomberg has money falling out of his ears...the dnc is basically broke. Not difficult math.

If Milwaukee turns into a chorus of cluster f, dems have no real shot. If they don't focus on smoothing things out before then, they're done.

Who wants coffee and a lemon and fig bar!!!?
Out.

I am almost certain Bernie will get the nomination. The DNC knows if they pull the same crap they did in 2016, they won't stand a chance, no matter who gets the nomination.T he repercussion from Iowa already makes this pretty clear.

Voter turnout for the democrat primaries has been a massive joke. The truth is that Bernie is taking the nomination, but he will be absolutely destroyed by Trump, which is why Trumps wants him to have the nomination. No common American wants Socialism, besides Bernie is extremely weak in debates. He will be manhandled by Trump.

Oh, Trump wants Bernie and the dnc knows it. His odds of beating Trump would be horrendous.

Joy Reid. Racist Joy Reid. Old white man despising Joy. Rich old white man despising Joy. Republican despising Joy Reid.

In 3, 2, 1...Ready?

MSNBC's Joy Reid props up Bloomberg, says Dems need candidate to 'fight like a Republican' and he 'used to be' one.

You can't make it up. The MSM has officially been given their marching orders.

I had to read her comments 3 times to realize she actually said it.

again, if dt made these statements you'd have the usual suspects clamoring about it until they had sore throats. i am not defending dt or any other person who was "cancelled" but this is just another example of the hypocrisy and bias which is infuriating. two teams playing the same game with different sets of rules for each.

I completely disagree. I think Bernie is the only one running right now that has a chance against Trump. He truly has a movement with people who don't know the damage he would do to American's way of life.

He'd get the young/naive 18-30's to the polls, like Obama got the blacks out to vote

I don't see him beating Trump. Granted, he has a following and will get the young voters out but I can't see anyone in the center voting for what Bernie stands for. Unless they are blinded by hatred of Trump. I can't believe an educated American would vote for socialism.

JUST listening to the ads, I could see myself voting for Tom. Although I don't know WHICH national referendum he is talking about, and don't really think EO is the way to solve the (man-made portion) climate change.

NOT that I really believe he could make Term limits a thing.

And results so far say you'd be right. Among NH voters with a college degree, Klobuchar and Buttigieg tied or beat Sanders. Voters without a degree preferred Sanders over the others...

I'll bite. No longer a Dem but I tend to vote in that direction when I only have the 2 options. I'd 100% vote for Bernie before I voted for Trump. His left of center Democratic Socialist ideals are red meat, errr, fresh tofu for the base. They would inevitably get watered down and moved center as he's forced to compromise as POTUS.

Thank you for responding! I really thought I'd get a bunch of responses. Not sure if the silence is because I'm not worthy of the time it takes to respond or if we have people that won't openly admit that they won't vote for Bernie if push comes to shove.

This is exactly what happened with Mr. Trump. Very few people involved in the polling would admit planning on voting for Mr. Trump and, voila...It's now President Trump. I'm not afraid of this occurring for Mr. Sanders and there are too many people who could, in a conscionable manner, vote for a socialist. Sadly, I don't see this being the case in at least the next 2 elections, post 2020 but in 2032 I can definitely see a socialist being president.

I'll be honest with you, and this is just my singular opinion: Scroll through any of these threads in the politics section and do a rough survey of the number of posters that you feel are left leaning vs. right leaning. There's what, 3 or 4, left leaning folks sporadically on here, including myself. Its just generally not an enjoyable place to hang out and discuss political theory, ideas, etc. Had the question not come from you, MK, Run Silent, Hooli, and the few other folks I know are genuinely interested in other perspectives as opposed to just fighting I would have slipped right past and not spoken up.
