Hey all,

I have reached the point that the wheel well gap is driving me crazy! I would love to have the Dinan springs and bump stops installed and have been calling around getting installation estimates as this is a job that is just outside my comfort zone.

It's hard enough to find a shop that will do the install, but I have found three so far. All three shops specialize on BMW/European cars. The quotes have been $3,352, $1,840, and $1,809. Am I crazy, or are these quotes all way high?

I guess I have to expand my search radius until I find one a bit more reasonable. I have used the Dinan website to find some of these shops, but now I am reaching the point of having to call shops in Cleveland/Cincinnati, which is not going to be convenient whatsoever. I live in Columbus, Ohio, if anyone know of any shops within a reasonable distance, let me know!

You are not crazy, but your local mechanics must be insane to charge that much.

It should be a 3-4 hour job, at a $150 per hour rate, $600 is reasonable in my opinion

Ok, thanks for the feedback, just making sure my expectations weren't way off.

I did forget to say though, all three of those quotes did include an alignment, but even then, still way too high.

I paid $725 to have my H&R lowering springs installed by my independent mechanic last week.

You can buy all the tools, watch some youtube videos and still come out way ahead

Also in Columbus (O-H) and looking for someone to install Dinan springs. I hate that we don't really have a proper euro tuning shop with decent prices...

I will definitely let you know. I have two more shops I found that I am going to reach out to today. Fingers crossed!
