Setting the stage for an all electric car with 100% fake grilles.

Somebody give this man an award. Spot on. The new grille is going to be polarizing to a few, but what BMW wants to do is set the car apart, and bring in a new audience.

They can call it the Corona grille.
Unfortunately even a slice of LIME can't spice it up.

Seems to be very planted.
Looks like a shiny black car to me, the uncovered strip on the hood have a similar look as the roof.

The car as seen from the angle in the frozen shot of the video clip looks really good. Modern, aggressive, menacing and butch while still rather tidy proportions.

I even like the vert. now when the fake padding is gone. It looked very ungainly with unsightly rear overhang etc. in prior photos but now it looks beautiful with a very low roofline.

Full reveal please, we are ready to see it and waiting

Is the F32/F33 still being built or has production been shutdown due to COVID-19? Anyone know?

But most people still thinks it's an ugly grill, not just on bmw forum, but all across the internet. Different and refresh doesn't always come out great, ugly will still be ugly.

I have literally seen ZERO positive press on the new 4-series, I mean its one thing when the enthusiast crowd hates it, but I mean, comment sections on facebook, to magazines, online articles etc, every single one have said nothing good about it.

That's the polarized group of people. There are a lot more people in the world that don't use the internet or just don't feel the need to voice their opinion because they'll let their wallet do all the talking that's needed.

Think of it this way, when do people mostly put reviews online? When they're not happy, right? Someone that likes it isn't going to go: OH MY GOD, I LOVE IT! They'll just buy it.

I will give BMW one thing. My non-enthusiast friends know about this design... and heckle me about the design ahead of time.

Perfect. That is exactly what BMW wants. The car hasn't been released yet and people are already talking about it. It doesn't matter if it is positive or negative right now because once the car is released and the hype starts to build and Jack's neighbor buys one, he has to have one too. What matters is it's on people's radar. People's tastes will change and the car will grow on people.

I personally don't think it'll ever grow on me just like the F8x exhaust sound never grew on me. The Competition Package didn't change the tone, it just made it sound like a deeper more rumbly John Deer.

I am at a loss to understand the point of these videos. I guess they are just fillers until the reveal.

I don't think a lot of people grasp this concept - they think everyone is the group of people they know or talk to on forums, social media or just group of friends. We just don't know how receptive everyone is going to be towards this new design. Even if the 4er was deemed one of the ugliest cars, there's always that blue and white roundel on the hood.

Again, It has nothing to do with BMW. These are photographers and It's their chosen job to post spy shots and videos at the ring. They aren't going to stop because we've seen it already. They're like the automotive version of paparazzi.

EOP for F32 and F33 are 06/20 and 08/20, resprectively, according to https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=901686

I haven't heard anything about BMW shutting down their production prematurely, of course production was halted for a while but it has been started again as far as we know.

Yeah that was what I was wondering with only a month left to go of F32 production and sales in the toilet if it was worth continuing building inventory...good business sense might have been to just stop it and using this time to focus on the G22. But if you have information that production is running for more more F32s apparently BMW see continued demand high enough to restock inventory.
