M440gc Spacers with HR springs?
I ordered HR sport springs. I wonder what spacer everyone is running on this.
I see a lot of people run 15mm on m340, wanted to see what you are running on m440gc. The rear tired are a bit wider, I wonder if this will effect 15mm spacers and should go with maybe 13mm? Pictures are welcome

So, springs finally arrived and was able to install them.
This is my first car with lowering springs. Car sits definitely lower. A lot lower. I will give it a week to settle in and after that will take measurements to see how low it is. As far as ride, let me tell you it's stiffer. Noticeably stiffer. The bumps I use to drive over now I rather drive around/between them. I don't know if 3 series have same dampers or perhaps stock ride is a bit stiffer than 4 series because I saw a lot of people say it's close to stock feel. It is not the case for 4 series, it's stiffer. I will be going with 10mm spacers. I measured room from wheel to fender and it is 12mm. I feel like 10mm will put me in a space where wheel won't be coming pass fender. Just thought I'd leave this here since I had difficult time finding this information on 4 series grand coupe. |

There is also the main “wheel spacer thread” just an FYI. Might be beneficial for you to post up your findings and images there.

yes will upload once I am home. I actually took them off, it felt a bit too much for me.
I am thinking I will go get with coilovers. So far I was unable to find anything for adaptive suspension.

Ohlins has one for us but it’s been on back order for a while, hit up Mike at extreme performance. You will need a EDC cancellation kit though, I was able to get a KW one that fits from my local shop.

Basically it eliminates troublesome codes for cars with the electronic adaptive suspension. And I haven’t installed coilovers on my car yet as I am still waiting for the next available stock.

Pretty sure there is a KW kit available as well. Someone on Facebook mentioned they used his 440gc as the car to build them.
If you have those photos can you upload 😅 |
