Fuse assignments on the G20?

BMW Driver's Guide for the 2019 G20 points you to this website to get the fuse assignment plan:

https://www.bmw.ie/en/topics/owners/fusecard.html

Admittedly, I've not YET looked in my trunk to see if there is a card in the fusebox, but I can't get it from my VIN on this site. Nor can I pull one for our 2019 X3 as well.

I finally got around to digging for this in the trunk where the fuses are. This is for the G20 330i. Hopefully it helps someone. Both PDF and the individual pages are scanned here.

My dear that's a lot of fuses! Also many fuses connected to the sams function, up to 6 at a time. Never seen that before.

Just took delivery of a m340i, the charging pad nor the 12v receptical in front of it work. I assume there is a fuse under the cowl cover in the engine bay, does anyone know which one from the diagram?

Anyone know where the "FB front right" fuse box above can be found in the vehicle?

That page isn't loading for me, is it under the glove-box? And since my steering wheel is on the right, is it there or on the left?

It's in the back near where the battery used to be on the side.

That's FB Rear since the shape matches the one in the picture above.
Must be driver or passenger footwell.

I just had good luck using fuse F59 in the passenger side footwell fusebox. It's switched so it turns off a few minutes after car shuts off.

If you have a dashcam with parking mode you'd be better off using F25 or F36 as they get constant power. (beware battery drain)

There are apparently 4 fuse boxes in the g20.

1. The main fuse box is in the trunk, behind the right wheel arch (passenger side for LHD). There is an access panel.

2 & 3. There are 2 more interior fuse boxes, each of which can be found at the base of the A-pillars in the front passenger foot well areas.

Quote:
2 more power distribution boxes are installed in addition to the rear right power distribution box: Front right power distribution box and front left power distribution box.

The front power distribution boxes are found each at the A-pillar in the footwell.
per https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/g...box/1VnZ70IAIn

4. In the engine compartment. I believe it's to the right of the motor (when facing the engine), but have not confirmed yet.

Note: there are several smaller power distribution blocks throughout the car with fuses, but I personally wouldn't use those or the engine bay one for most of my electronic needs

I have actually wired the blackvue magic power pro for parking more recording (up to 12 hours) using BATT to #29 and ACC to #36.
However I think you are right and #36 is always on since I did not see the camera go off after 12 hours.
Will try 59 and see if that does the trick.

That did the job, #59 is going off after a few minutes so works great for the ACC connection. Thanks a lot

Check the right side of the rear luggage compartment(trunk) for the fuse box. The fuse for the 12v socket is a 20 amp fuse and is No. F273 (as seen on the above diagram)

I've replaced it succesfully, it is actually located at the passenger's feet on front right under a panel. That's were one of the fuse boxes is.

Does #273 service both sockets? Front and trunk? Looking for it too but the images are useless

F46 is the one I've replaced, I actually found F273 thinking it was the one I blew. F273 is located in the trunk on the right side. There is a paper located in the trunk fuse box like the image to guide you. Let me know if you found it.

On the G20 bmw
The 12v accessory socket doesn’t take all types of usb chargers

Often the problem is not a fuse

It's that the adapter that is inserted isn't a correct fit

Apparently the G20 has two batteries: a lithium battery under the hood, and an AGM battery under the floor of the trunk. I assume one is primarily for starting the engine, and the other serves the massive amount of electronics in the car.

So when people are hardwiring devices that want a constant battery connection (dash cams with parking features), are they taking this into account and deliberately deciding which battery to connect to? I haven't seen any discussion about that so far. I'm wondering if the issue of over-discharging the battery (and getting warnings about it) could be mitigated by connecting to one battery vs. the other? Thoughts?

This is wrong. At least on my US spec m340 there is no drivers side fuse box at the base of the A pillar
