Once navigation is started, how do I get the system to display alternative routes? I know they are display when navigation is initiated, but I cannot find an easy why to display them once navigation has started.

In maps view, push the I drive button to left. That brings up a menu with the alternative routes available.

I think I answered my own question. For ID7, hit the navigation button twice while in navigation.

I tested today and I was wrong. But you discovered already

On my old three series and my new five I just press the voice command and say 'alternative routes' . Not sure about Id 7 but worth a go.
