Battery registration with Bimmer Link quick question

Hi!

I just replaced AGM battery in my 2019 g20. Same specs as the original OEM. I used bimmer link to register the battery. When I did the registration, it said that the operation completed successfully but the mileage when was the last replacement wasn't updated. I disconnected, reconnected and there was still no mileage of the last replacament. I tried again and supposedly it worked as well but no mileage either.

I have seen others do it on some random youtube videos and for them the mileage instantly updated.

Should I be worried that my registration is not complete after all?

BTW, when registering the new battery in bimmerlink, it says the engine has to be off and the ignition should be ON (step 2). No idea how to turn on the ignition in the keyless g20, or if something like that is possible in this car.

Thanks!

"Ignition ON" is achieved by pushing the Engine Start button while NOT pressing brake pedal.

Same here for me, just replaced the battery. Used an ENET cable + usb c adapter to connect to the car using Bimmerlink. Used the register new battery function, got a popup all went well, but the milage since last update didnt update at all. Also reconnected etc, but still showing no new milage.

Minkovsky Did you find any fix by any chance?

Just done this on my G30. Registration successful but no exchange mileage shown. Got a support request in with Bimmerlink.

BTW used the 3 button push method as well as the 1 button push w/o brake pedal

This from Bimmerlink themselves:

Dear Customer,

This is a known issue and we are working on it. Please note that the registration itself worked.

I'm glad I ran into this post, because I'm having the same problem with my Autophix 7910.

same issue here. Will follow to see if there is an update. The battery state % and mileage don’t update for me, but I also get the “update successful” banner. I also have written Bimmerlink but not seen a reply yet.

So do I do this under the diagnostic mode or just hit the button 1 time?
