Got the 11/2023.50 RSU for my preLCI M340 today. So far doesn’t seem like there were any changes.

I got the notification yesterday morning on my phone to update to the 11.2023 and I am holding off installing the update after reading all of these issues, I just don't want to deal with it right now.

I updated yesterday

Now remote start not working

It shows in app as working but car is not on

My software updates have been getting stuck, I took my car to the dealership and apparently the issues is common now and might be caused the satellite server.

They wanted to charge me $237 CAD for them to do the update with their "computer". How can i fix this on my own ?

Mine downloaded to the phone app then when i connected in car it uploaded it

When it finished i installed while in the store

Came out it was ready to go

Possibly due to low battery, try charging your battery with a trickle charger.

Every software updates seems to disable the check box for remote start. Go into the climate settings and check the box for it. It’ll work again.

I’m also still stuck on this screen. Has anybody been able to get their car to get past this screen without paying the dealership? As far as I’m aware the battery is fully charged.

I got the notification as well and I would like to know what the changes are. I cannot find release notes for the 11/2023.50 upgrade. Anybody got a link?

I only had that screen for a few minutes after the transfer of the software from my phone to the car completed. Then when I got home, I engaged parking braking, pressed the P for park on gear lever and shut down the car by pressing the stop/start button once. Before opening my door, I saw that my idrive screen had the usual activate precondition/ventilation option and a new install software update option. I pressed the software update option and that was it.

Idk what I did but the next day, the car said it was ready to perform the install 🤷‍♂️ I guess I just needed to wait a couple of days?

Here are the prerequisites from the manual. In my experience, the update would never start until I put the car on charge overnight and then it would do it immediately every time. It just seemed to be extremely sensitive to the battery charge state.

I've been stuck on that screen for several days now.
Even a full CTEK session didn't help.

The following error code appears in bimmerlink under HU:

Code 038400 - RSU: Vehicle preconditions not met.

I have had the option to install it for a few months now and I have been hesitant. I might just do it this weekend to get it out of the way. We will see though..
