Is there a way to get red on the interior lighting? There are some odd choices but not one of the primary colours!

Red is good in the dark. Red light preserves night vision, so it's odd it isn't available unless there is a hack/update to get it?

Absolutely no warranty issue or at least never raised by BMW for last 4 years

I think one reason red isn't available by default is because it's the warning colour - if you open the doors with the engine running you'll see the door lights flash red.

Is the orange interior lighting choice the closest you can get to red then?

Yup. I wish I knew why they give you bronze and orange when they are both fairly similar colour choices.

I’ve replaced bronze on mine with magenta and also swapped all the whites with red. Shame you can’t update the iDrive list to match the new colours.

I remember when I got my first M440i, had it about three months before I even realised that colour options were available!

Ive just taken delivery of a Melbourne Red G20 and its so annoying that I cant have red ambient lighting to match the car. Such a super simple thing but yeah it wound me up last night when I got in for the first time at night.

I wanted black lights to go with mine.

I'm a bit old fashioned. BMW interior lighiting was always orange, so orange is OK with me.

Same here for the same reason. Looking at the previous posts I suppose coral in ID8 is the closest now to orange in ID7?
