Connected music
My connected music option has now disappeared from my Idrive menu, I assume as my free trial has ended. The cost of reconnection is £60.
I was planning to contact my dealer and push for a software upgrade as I have a Spotify account and wanted Spotify added to the system. However, would I have to still pay the £60 to BMW in order to get access to Spotify, despite having a subscription. |

No, Spotify isn't part of connected music. It's something to do with the app sharing between your phone and the car.
My Spotify plays fine, but I don't see the icon on the screen just my phone name. I can still skip tracks but don't get the track listing displayed or any album art. My software is 03/2019 |

I wasn’t very clear. My connected music had Deezer and Napster as I hadn’t had the upgrade. However, the connected music option has now disappeared off my idrive as the free trial has expired.
Even if I had the software upgrade, do you have to pay the £60 for connected music to reappear, letting my log into my Spotify account. I currently run it through Bluetooth, but I’m curious to know if you have to pay the fee for it to reappear on your menu. |

I've got 07.2019.40 so there is a further update available. I had Spotify until I signed into Connected Drive and selected BMW Music, now Spotify seems to have been overridden by BMW Music ( which I don't really need/want)...

I have 07/2019/39 Only shows Deezer and Napster in connected Music BUT on the BMW Connected drive page you can now see Spotify as well - at a £60.00 option - I have decided to use my ipod touch - update the playlists as I need online then play that - works fine at no extra cost

Alternatively try logging in as the guest profile and see if Spotify comes back? That's what happens on mine... |

That means that Spotify will now work via the car's SIM. |
