I previously owned a F30 340i and loved the car (except the non sport xDrive suspension). When my lease ended, the M340i was still >6 months away from hitting the dealerships, so I decided to go with the Audi S5 SB. It was a pretty good car except for it's throttle/transmission lag issues. Other people have been able to adjust to these but I never really got comfortable with the way it drove.
Long story short: finally traded my S5 and picked up an M340i xDrive today. Love the way it drives - a big improvement over the F30! But looks like BMW still hasn't put a climate control sync button!

Welcome! I came from a 2019 S5 Sportback as well. Nice car but the transmission/throttle lag sucks.

I made the same trade up from the S5 sportback to the M340i and I've been so happy with that decision. Welcome aboard!

I seriously cross shopped the S5 Sportback, good to hear that I made a good decision to buy the M340....I love this car!

I just tell the car to Synchronize Climate control. Would have liked a button but she does it for me. I also tried out the S5 Sportback. Great car and really liked the massaging seats. But with less power, a bit too light steering for my taste and no HUD in the one I had out... pretty happy with my decision to go with the M340.

As for the sync, push the A/C Menu button and it should be one of the options that pop up immediately.

You can then save this to your pre-sets so you will essentially have a sync button.

I used to own f82 M4, same as you, after my lease end I went with S5 SB and thinking about getting M340i as well.

The same problem as you, the throttle lag I still cannot get used to after 2 years. the dynamic mode with S transmission just too aggressive. However, i just look the look of my S5 SB and the cargo space. Do you miss it tho?

I left 3 different B9 S4/S5 vehicles (last being an S5 Sportback). The throttle lag was terrible...otherwise an amazing car. Although the M340i feels much faster, I don't think it would be as bad if the throttle lag wasn't there.

Yes I do... the S5 is definitely a better looking car, and arguably has a better interior. But the BMW drivetrain more than makes up for that. I also love the iDrive system and the touchscreen on the G20.
