Yeah, besides performance....most people like to enjoy the look of the car when they drive.
It can perform awesome but if is ugly nobody wants it
I am sticking with M3 it has wider hips and it's convenient for kids.
Technically the ///M4 is wider than the ///M3. It's the contours of the fenders than gives the ///M3 that bullish look.
From what I remember looking at the spec sheet, the M3 sheet metal at its widest is slightly wider by less than an inch. Wheel to wheel they are the same. Not that it matters, since they both perform pretty much exactly the same.
M4 still looks lower and wider as the M3 is nearly 2" taller giving it this kinda look head on.

Well it's rumored that the g80 will have 500+ horsepower in competition form and the M xdrive from the m5. It's also supposed to get much larger grilles so it's definitely going to look much different and arguably be much faster

I would argue it may be the best M4 and M3 yet. Time will tell . Clearly it will be very fast with 500+ hp and AWD , just how fast? 2.8 0-60? As far as looks we will see soon, personally I can't wait

We've already established that in an earlier post, and I've acknowledged my failing memory.

The M3 is actually wider by 7mm. Wheels are both 1579mm part center to center.

Will never do 2.8 0-60!!!
Mine F90 did 2.8 with 850HP didn't try with sticker tires but that could be down to maybe 2.6 sec M3/4 might do it in 3.1
Picture below it 0-60 on winter tires 3.05

Lol
You can option the CCB.

I will do this on mine and add some forged aluminum wheels and there you have about 80lbs less unsprung weight.

Tempted to buy the last version of the current F22 with 6MT....

No for two reasons, you still have to get a US-spec car and there arenít any 6MT G2x vehicles over there, either.

There are, but only diesels and not above 200HP.

The diesel thing is a bit weird because they announced a 6MT 20i Z4, so maybe the EU 320i will get 6MT in the future, but that one has less than 200HP as well.

Specs say otherwise.
width:
M3 - 73.9 in / 1877 mm
M4 - 73.6 in / 1870 mm

Can't wait to see what the next 4 looks like without the camo.

Looking at the roofline I'm a bit afraid there won't be enough headroom for the passengers in the back seats, like in the 8er coupe. Would be a bit weird since this wasn't the case with the predecessors.

Since that's the reason why I had to remove the 8er coupe from my list, I was hoping this will not be the case with the new 4er.

Just get the Convertible and 4 Puma ball caps.

Problem solved.

You might be right, but not according to Wikipedia:
F82. 1870mm
F80. 1877mm

But then it contradicts itself by using inches.

In terms of performance, there is nothing in it.

You can see from the slope of the roofline that the upcoming 4er ragtop will have more rear seat headroom than the coupe version.
