It wont. Its going to be just like the new 3 series grille. Just have to wait and see. They wouldnt make it this radical.

Front end looks like a clown car and rear looks like a Lexus RC. Yikes.

Now the M3 is expected to have horizontal slats

The guy behind this design believes this is beautiful, obviously! and thinks that we are going to accept this and some day like it

WHO accepts the final design? the designer? the board? the CEO?

Love the Side and Rear profiles, Especially like the Green example!

When I first seen the rendering, made my think of a cross between the Alpha Romeo Giulia and Audi grill. Yes, the front grills are bold and I would not mistake this M3 for any other 3-series for that matter, I personally would rather see that grill horizontally split.

That being said, I did not like the look of the new 3-series "tooth" type grill on paper, yet, I found it really cool when I seen it in person.

overall looks great, except for the grill, if it actually ends up like this, i'm sure the after market will have better grill options

It'll look very good and differentiable if it doesn't carry the grills all the way to the bottom of the bumper as in the CSL Hommage:

Super bold move by BMW! Definitely love the new radical design.

IMHO if you look at the M3 aesthetic wise, the design on the M3:
e30 to e36 = HUGE CHANGE
e36 to e46 = HUGE CHANGE
e46 to e92 = HUGE CHANGE
e92 to f82 = SMALL CHANGE (Tbh, f82's front end looks like an updated e92...)
f82 to g20 = SMALL CHANGE (Again, looks like the f82 got a LCI on the front end...)

Take note, the HUGE CHANGE I listed above is for aesthetics only. No comparison on power here.

Anyways, good job BMW for thinking of a NEW design for the M3. The design started to get boring after the e90/92 got its successor.

So happy I got the last run F80 with a 6spd. Call me a dinosaur. That is too over styled. Sorry. I'll reserve final judgement for the reveal but as far as renderings go.... nope

I am wondering if they could extend the grill all the way to front windshield, would have been way sexier!

Nah.

The biggest change was from E30 to E36 but otherwise there were no big changes just incremental size and proportion changes.
