No, I pushed the heat shield up just a tad with my fingers to slide the tips on. They barely clear the diffuser but they fit perfectly. The carbon pieces don't carry heat so no risk of the diffuser melting.

Thanks guys! I think they look great too, I need to get another clamp as I definitely overtightened with an impact but even with the one it is very secure

Finally took the plunge and Ordered them from AKDRIFTPOWER MaiQilong. Received them within a week in India. Quality product & Overall a good experience dealing with them.

Will install them and post pictures soon !
Got them installed recently and they look great. Easy fit but had to slot in a small piece of pipe onto the MPE tip to get the clamps to tighten up.

Hi, how are they holding with time?
Is the metal band stable?
Planning to get them for my m240I.
Thanks

Need to trust supplier. Also fitment is not always 100%. to me having things work the first time is big. if it was a $200 difference, maybe i start to think about it. but for the difference, I am fine buying from them.

Plus they put nice L and R markers as well as sku and logo which also helps to separate. they are def not a sticker, some sort of black probably laser engraved. Maybe they mark after or maybe they are truly different. i guess no one here will know for sure. But I am happy with them and just am sharing my experience here.

I am also interested in the Quad Tips. The ones at Ali Express seem to still be one of the only options (without full exhaust).

1) Anyone have feedback on how they hold up over time? There was one review on Ali, that said the black paint was gone within two weeks. But there are only 6 reviews total and so . . . it's hard to know.

2) Is this something anyone can do (even a dummy like myself?) or . . . is it best to take it in to have them done professionally? Asking cause I don't know. Don't see any install videos online.

Thanks!

Looking good! The fitment on your MPE with the installed piece of pipe looks spot on!

I love my IAW 4" quad tips! They really completed the look of the rear end. They also are just the right size and aggression to make the rear look more like an M car. They also were very easy to install and are holding up great.

I will be ordering the Black with CF tips from Infinite AutoWorks.

Just an FYI - anyone looking at their site yesterday or today - they are having some technical issues that they are working on. My product pages would not load and so I called in.

Thank you to all of those who shared about their Tips and even those who sent me some private messages to help me decided.

I am very excited to have the quads soon.

These look great! For the 4" did you need to do any mods to install? Was it a super tight fit? I am going to purchase and I am trying to decide what size to get.

The 4" look AMAZING . . . I am just not that mechanically savvy when it comes to cars. If it's just wriggling it around until it's aligned right, I can handle that. IF it's cutting things and pipes or bumper . . NO. Not me lol.

Just ordered mine from Infinite Autoworks. Went with the Black Carbon 4" (looks like they only offer the black cf for the 4" version, but that's what I wanted anyway).

Will come back and post some pics once they are installed.

Mine have been on the car for over 6 months in Florida rain and heat with zero issues.

IAW Tips Modification

I initially installed my IAW black on carbon exhaust tips a couple of days ago and was unhappy with the fitment as they stuck out a little too far for my liking, as shown in the first two pics.

I got my whip over to the muffler shop today to get the exhaust shortened up for proper fitment of the tips. We cut about 3/4" off the OEM exhaust where the MPE bolts on, which allowed the MPE to slide on a little further providing for perfect fitment of the tips. Now they are tucked up under the car for a much cleaner, OEM look. Very simple solution, and I am very pleased with the finished look.

To each their own so I wont say objectively that in the first couple pics the tips stuck out too far - but subjectively speaking they stuck out too far and the 3/4" modification you did makes them look spot on

My IA quad tips arrived last night. I went with the 4"

I have a lot going on, so it might be a few weeks before I get to it. But super excited. I HATE the stock box exhaust style.
