This is the first dash cam I have seen that I feel I could live with, as I hate anything stuck on and trailing wires |

I installed this yesterday. Was a bit of a faff to run the cables to the rear cam, and to house all the connectors and wires in the plastic housing for the front cam. All in all, not too bad.
I'm not actually using the car much at the moment but think I need to check the resolution. Also, dont forget when installing to take off the blue lens protector, as I thought the front cam was f***ed! |

Me and my friend bought it for his X4 and my G20. He had it installed and picture and video quality is excellent. There is a button next to the power button and can have the photos taken with a press than holding a mobile while driving.

Hi hamera, how are you getting on with the FitcamX?
I am a new M340i owner and I had been Googling Dashcams for the car when I stumbled upon this forum post. I wondered how the camera was doing since you fitted it? I have driver assistant pro so I 'think' I need the model C version like yours, here is a side photo of my current original plastics:- |

Still all working fine. Although my cars been at the dealers for the last few months waiting for a new steering rack so obviously haven’t used it for a while…
My wife has one in her Audi as well and that’s still working fine. |

No problems since installing. There isn't really much to say. It works and you kind of forget it's even there. In terms of the video quality I think it's OK. I'm sure there are better cameras available on the market. For me it was the form factor over the video quality if I'm perfectly honest. Last edited by hamera; 02-27-2023 at 10:35 AM.. |

Not a fitcamx but I installed a similar AliExpress 4k camera into my M340i today. It was supplied with rain sensor tap, hardwire tap, trim tool and instructions. Installation was simple enough and the video/camera quality, though I doubt 4k, is very clear and respectable. £64 so cheaper than the fitcamx version.

Just fitted a Nextbase camera but at present I'm using the 12v socket in the centre console.
Sticking the camera up was the easy bit......hiding the cable is another thing....... Does anyone know if you can ease the edge of the roof lining down along the windscreen edge to conceal the cable. Down the door is easy, behing the door rubber.......but didn't want to pull at the roof lining for fear of damage. Cheers |
