Spotify Album Art
I connect through bluetooth to Spotify on my phone. Every other car I have, the album art appears on displays but not on my 330i. Do I not have something set right?

I also use Spotify with my phone and bluetooth, and album artwork normally shows up. On occasion the artwork is not there when I first start the car. My solution was switching to radio, and then back to phone on the IDrive screen. Then the artwork appears.
I have experienced artwork issues between my iOS device and the I Drive system, whether using Bluetooth or USB. My BMW dealer says it's just what it is. |

Just go to dealership and ask for a software update. Maybe this will help

Works fine but can take some time if cell coverage is low.

Im reviving this to say that I have never got the Album art to show up on my car. I ruled out a connection or bandwidth problem. Ive looked in Spotify in the setting. Ive checked the car settings. Everything seems to be set but I have never seen album art displayed.
Anyone know of anything else that I can check?

Not sure why you are having problems. I get Spotify via the cars sim card or via my iPhone. The album art works fine using either method and can be displayed on the Idrive screen, instrument cluster and the heads up display. I would go to your dealer and ask them to sort it.

Album art won't appear if you're selecting your phone as the media device and playing spotify on your phone.
The only way is to log into Spotify through BMW Connected Music |

*How to Display Apple CarPlay on Live Cockpit Pro*
I too was wondering how to do this and found a solution elsewhere but sharing here so Google’s algorithm (which conveniently displays this forum / discussion on this topic) So that my fellow BMW drivers like me can drive happily- enjoy! 1- Make sure you’ve got Live Cockpit enabled on your vehicle/model. You MUST have your device connected wirelessly to the car (not via Manual Spotify login). Once you have this, play a song or playlist before moving to step 2, to ensure you’ll see it populate. 2- Once you’ve got Spotify playing wirelessly, use the “BC” switch, which is the opposite switch or lever to your windshield wipers. Pressing this will modify the info shown on the right side of your Live Cockpit screen. Once you toggle through, you’ll see Spotify / album art appear. No need to “save” your setting after performing this action. Your driver profile will default to that view each time you enter the vehicle. I, again, hope that this helps a few fellow BMW drivers out there. I hope through future iDrive updates we get some additional settings on Live Cockpit (CarPlay Album Art displayed in “reduced” mode, Size and modification to gas and speed displays, etc.) NOTE: If you’re vehicle is not a G20, 2019+ model, the above may not work. I have a 2020 330i Sedan for which this works. |
