M performance front lip for G21 Touring -

Hi,

I've always known that this will not be fitted by BMW officially but that it does actually fit the car. Has anyone sucessfully fit this to their touring? The official M performance lip.

Yes i got the M Performance front spoiler on my G21 Touring.

I had the Performance parts painted in the cars color to make it a little bit more subtle.
My front spoiler was not 100% installed like described by BMW.
The tuner used 3M band around the corners, Sikaflex and special screws that can be removed again.

Real nice job with the pain. My installer says for some reason the parts are wrong and won't fit. Would you mind sharing the part numbers if you have them? I guess all pre LCI M340i should be the same.

This is what I have.

BMW will tell you that the part wont fit because it´s not tested for the G21.
If you ever want to drive fast (200kmh+) you should also get the rear spoiler because otherwise your rear could get unstable.
That´s the reason why BMW doesn´t allow the front spoiler for the G21.
I already went up to 280kmh without any problem.

The descriptions are in german but you should still understand what parts are meant.
And yes, it´s the same part number i used.

BMW M Performance Stoßfängerblende Freiform-Endrohrblenden Heck schwarz 3er G20 G21

Thanks man. I ordered from germany so it is the same part. The guys are adamant it doesn't fit based on them trying. They are going to compare my parts against some others to figure this out.

It´s not easy to fit the front spoiler but the G20 and G21 front are identical.
The front spoiler needs to be fixed until the glue is completely hardened.
The passenger side of my front spoiler has a small gap of 1mm because the part stays under tension.
I still need to fill some glue into that gap.

Install it yourself, it takes about 10 min & use 3M vhb molding tape with the provided screws. * I'd also recommend getting it covered with paint protection film before installing or it's going to get chewed up by rocks/road debris.

Rhino ramps are $39/pair at Walmart if you've got one near you. Much better than paying someone who doesn't seem to know how to install it.

Your post inspired me to go down and have another look. The things absolutely fit ffs. I'm raging now at these clowns who blamed me for buying the wrong parts.

This is why I always do my own work. Unless something needs equipment or technology that I don't have/can't get, I'll do it myself.
